  1. Insinuating is different from explicitly saying it, no? But I guess if you want to push it, then is it wrong to feel that Hazard hasn't always been committed to the cause, like this season? He may be grateful to us, sure, but when he's constantly talking about transfer rumors of him moving elsewhere, can you really blame the fans for thinking he's not as committed as he should be or he decides when to turn up and when not? Whatever the flaws the club have right now, constantly hinting a move elsewhere and then not putting in the performances week in week out aren't going to win over many fans.
  2. Too many revisionist history these days...
  3. Where did I explicitly say Hazard is ungrateful towards us? My main gripe and main point is people constantly make it as though we are underneath the players, that we should praise them to the heavens because they stay with us for so long, like it's a one-way traffic only!
  4. May have said this before but when I was watching United v West Brom last night, really can't help but feel (again) Mata's career has gone downhill after joining United. Was onto something, looked to be part of something special when he was with us but he's become just another player at United. What a shame. Could have won 2 league titles by now!
  5. So you need to have teams that compliment players for them to be thankful for playing for us? The club should always be bigger than the players or anyone else but people always seem to place the former below the latter. Mind you, we haven't always had teams that compliment players but has that ever stopped them from actually being grateful to the club? As you pointed out yourself, we haven't given Kante a proper midfield partner or played Azpi out of position and yet, I don't think that has stopped them from being committed to the cause or actually appreciate the fact that they are playing for us. If anything, this should be a two-way street as opposed to just one but people seem keen on making it just that - a one-way street.
  6. That's the most random post I've gotten in a while.
  7. Why do people always make it feel like we should be thankful that players play for us as opposed to the other way round? No wonder we always feel inferior when compare to the likes of Real, Barcelona, United...
  8. Burnley 1-2 Chelsea PRE/POST-MATCH DISCUSSION, LIVE CHAT AND ANALYSIS 2017/18 Premier League Match 34 19th April, Thursday, 2018 Turf Moor 19:45 Kick Off (UK time)
  9. In the first season? A bit debatable. Plus, Morata only has 2 goals and 2 assists less than Drogba's total tally in 2004/05 and there's still 6-7 games to go.
  10. The likes of Real Madrid, Bayern, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal all disagree.
  11. To be fair, he's been doing far less of that in recent games. We're never going to get away from having physical striker as the main striker, are we?
  12. Because there may be kids who read the forum?
  13. I know Morata hasn't been WOW but just look at the difference in reaction. Giroud scored two goals today and everyone has gone mental over him. Morata scored two goals in last two goals - especially an important one at Leicester - and there was barely a word about it.
  14. Let's not pretend as if their effort has been there every single time. I mean look at Willian, performed well for a few weeks and has now reverted to the norm.
  15. Was f***ing abysmal today. Looked lost mentally and tactically. Moses is hardly great but between them both, I'd rather have Moses at RWB.
  16. Yeah but it has been only a few games and this is when we have been shit, mind you. It's like Willian putting in the performances whenever we decide to be shit.
  17. Because he went from being a starter to a bench warmer for Arsenal. Even got benched by Lacazette who has been poor!
  18. It's just one game and it was against an abject Southampton. Sure, it's great what he did but it will take more than one game to say he's not an 'Arsenal reject'.
  19. Always hilarious when people form opinion based on goals...
  20. Well, that was, err, interesting. Was literally pissed off the second we went 2-0 down and turned the TV and minutes later, it's 3-2. Best celebrate this moment while it lasts.
