Costa was great when he was here but since he returned to Atletico, he's scored only 12 goals in 44 games (he's got more booking than goals) and in the same time period, Morata also scored 12 goals for us. Also, Costa turns 31 later this year and he's never going to continue in the same form he showed for us. Our problem, as always, was finding the right player as the replacement.

We definitely sold Costa at the right time...

I don't think we should be surprised that Barcelona were crap. They have a poor away record in last 2-3 years or so in the knockout stage of the Champions League and they are pretty pragmatic under Valverde.

Life is fucked up when the players fans would like to see stay want to go (e.g. Hazard) but the players that fans would like to see leave want to stay (e.g. Willian).

I know 100 million is a lot but there is no guarantee we will spend wisely with that money as seen with buying Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Zappacosta etc.
