  1. Kante will play and then get injured again. Rinse and repeat...
  2. But Serie A is the bigger prize for them. It's been so long since they last won it and they would love to end Juve's streak.
  3. If Inter go into the Europa League, pretty sure Conte will bin that to win the Serie A.
  4. European progression could also affect Inter and Juve in the run-in. IF Inter were to get KOed in the CL group stage, then I think Conte will throw all the eggs into the Serie A basket.
  5. Mahrez is definitely expendable for City.
  6. Tell your brother to switch to blue.
  7. Jorginho did a similar thing for Liverpool's first goal recently but he's been hailed as a leader of the team.
  8. What a farce from Xhaka on that United goal and Arsenal's lack of closing down was a joke.
  9. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ross-barkley-escorted-atm-police-20365011 Christ!
  10. For sure but hope some folks are patient if he doesn't come out firing. We've been fortunate that the likes of Abraham and Mount have hit the ground running from the get-go and think we may have been spoilt a tad bit by their success so far because if they hadn't started so well, we would be pleading patience with them. So, hope some patience is given here.
  11. Arsenal will go above us if they avoid defeat tonight. Just a case of whether it'll be a 3-point gap or 1. United will go level on points with us if they win. Otherwise, they obviously stay behind us.
  12. Both Arsenal's and United's bench looks tragic.
  13. Ironic coming from a player who's scored only 4 goals in his last 45 league games.
  14. Serie A is truly a retirement home league.
  15. Overall, the record is decent but think the (slight) issue here is that he didn't play a single minute in 4 of the last 5 games and the only game he played was in the League Cup.
  16. Everyone has their opinion and I respect that but I just find his apprehension (if that's the right word) towards Pulisic somewhat bemusing. Loan him out to learn his trade? Really? If Pulisic was some unknown and we had bought him from the MLS or a small league - like his compatriot Miazga - then sure, loan him out. But Pulisic has played over 120 games, including in the Champions League, for a big club in Europe and is like the biggest US player right now. We're never going to loan him out. Whether this transfer will work out well in the long run remains to be seen but he's a long term investment from the club's perspective. Does Pulisic deserve to start over Willian or Pedro at this point? Maybe, maybe not. But at the very least, he should be given minutes on the field. It's easy to sit here and say he needs to adapt, to settle in etc and sure, he needs time but on the other hand, how is he going to do that if he's not even getting minutes, even if it's just 20-30 minutes for now? He won't be perfect but at least give him a chance to impress, to make mistakes and learn, to get the feel of the league and team. I'd rather see young players go through all that than seeing experienced players continue to underwhelm and do not improve. And think some have been spoilt by the success of Mount, Abraham so far. Also, if people are gonna start with the ifs and buts of the transfer ban, then they are seriously opening a can of worms. If we hadn't gotten the ban, we would likely not have hired Lampard and would not have gone down this youth route with Mount, Abraham, CHO, James etc. They would have all been loaned out or even sold.
  17. He's so bad. He often takes the easy option with his passes, runs with his head down all the time and has no awareness of the situation around him. Ran blindly into traffic so many times yesterday!
  18. Common sense will say that but we don't do common sense. Conte/Sarri looked to have phased him out but he's suddenly getting a lot of game time under Lampard. So, I won't be surprised if we give him a new contract. We already rejected big money offers for him in recent years!
  19. Very impressed by his ability to look for options and move the ball quickly, helping our speed of play. A stark contrast to some others in the XI.
