  1. That's a whole different debate altogether.
  2. TBF, every team get lucky during a season - some perhaps more than others - but Palace are generally defensively solid under Hodgson anyway and if you've got that as a base, then it obviously gives you a chance to get results here and there. They have conceded only 8 goals in 8 games this season - 3rd best defence in the league - and 4 of them came in one game (at Spurs lol).
  3. Beyond the top two, the rest just aren't that great and consistent really. I mean, even Burnley are currently up there in 5th right now! Palace have a monstrous run of games coming up; their next 5 league games - Man City (h), Arsenal (a), Leicester (h), Chelsea (a), Liverpool (h).
  4. Zaha, who people continue to fawn over for whatever reason, has a grand total of just ONE assist this season. No goals. Just ONE assist.
  5. Hoffenheim? If you're talking about Nagelsmann, he's already gone to Leipzig. Hoffenheim now have a manager whose previous managerial job was in 2015 and they have been awful this season, winning only once in the Bundesliga before today.
  6. Well, Hazard has never been the most mentally discipline of players. Wouldn't be surprising at all if he becomes fat once he retires.
  7. Azpi is only 2 years older than Jorginho. As long as the former is still at the club, he'll remain as captain, especially if the situations with Terry-Cahill and Cahill-Azpi are anything to go by.
  8. He only seemed decent because he doesn't scream or talk loudly like some of his colleagues do.
  9. https://www.football-italia.net/144904/official-zappacosta-suffers-acl-tear Will be out for 4-5 months. And this is shocking!
  10. Meh. ESPN's regular pundits are horrible. Only their guest pundits - e.g. Gab Marcotti, Sid Lowe - are okay to listen to.
  11. If they're going to talk about him, at least put up quality content aka talk about what can he do to improve, to get into the team etc. All their discussions have been like practically asking him to jump ship. That's a really pathetic mindset to have.
  12. By agenda, I mean how many times are they going to keep on talking about Pulisic in a week? Last Thursday, they had a debate about whether he should seek a move in January. Then on Monday, they had Steve Nicol saying there's no need to panic just yet. And of course yesterday, they wondered if he should go on loan. Like okay, he didn't even make the bench at Lille but it's not like his situation has drastically changed to discuss him like 3 times in a week, is it? It's not like Lampard has directly said he's not in his plans or something. Furthermore, it's only early October. If his situation is still the same come December, then sure, by all means discuss a potential loan move or whatever. But if he's starting/playing games by then, all this 'press the panic button' talk will look foolish.
  13. Lampard already said in midweek that Rudiger has injury problems with his groin. No return date set. https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/players/chelsea-injury-news-vs-southampton-16574172
  14. Willian has indeed started more games and played more minutes than Pedro in the last 4 seasons but think injuries/suspensions have to be taken into account here. From 2015/16 till 2018/19, Willian missed only 12 games while Pedro missed 23, that's 11 games and 990 minutes difference. In any case, here's the full stats comparison: WILLIAN 2015/16 - 45 starts + 4 subs = 3,881 minutes (missed 4 games) 2016/17 - 21 starts + 20 subs = 2,026 minutes (missed 4 games) 2017/18 - 33 starts + 22 subs = 3,053 minutes (missed 2 games) 2018/19 - 43 starts + 13 subs = 3,533 minutes (missed 2 games) PEDRO 2015/16 - 30 starts + 10 subs = 2,781 minutes (missed 10 games) 2016/17 - 33 starts + 10 subs = 2,723 minutes (missed 1 game) 2017/18 - 28 starts + 20 subs = 2,509 minutes (missed 4 games) 2018/19 - 36 starts + 16 subs = 3,099 minutes (missed 8 games)
  15. Vesper wasn't even making any sort of comparison to Pulisic in that specific post. She was just saying Mount is better playing as an attacking midfielder rather than a winger, which is true if we want to utilize and maximize his talents in the long run.
  16. I stand by what I said then. Thought he maybe could have done better on Wednesday but got shut down by someone else. So...
  17. This seems to fly over A LOT of people's head.
