I know we have Spurs and Arsenal later in December but United face Spurs in midweek and then the Manchester derby next weekend.

Panicking or just brain dead from the players? Because today wasn't the first time we tried to put high crosses with a False 9. It happened when Hazard as well.

Precisely why I said it didn't make sense. If the plan really was to play through them, then why on earth did we keep crossing the ball in?

But we kept putting crosses in!?

Okay that's an exaggeration because none of the saves he made were exceptional. All rather basic. But the worst part is, we created nothing whatsoever in the second half. Didn't even test him!

The runners-up of that Germany/France/Portugal group could play England in the R16.

That made no sense whatsoever...

But this season, it's our shit home form that's costing us (we have 4 of the other Big 6 at the Bridge in the second half of this season by the way). Luckily, we have been near perfect away from home. That's a contrast to last season when we won most of the home games but could barely win away from home, especially after December.

Don't want to be harsh but his corners were fucking disgraceful today. Every single corner was hit - or over-hit - to the far post and no one in particular. Fucking joke!

Those 2 are hopeless defensively. We'll never get anywhere unless we morph into peak City off the ball - press as a team all over the pitch and make tactical fouls etc.

I did point out that he has been playing A LOT this season for club and country but people thought he would be just fine without any rest. He has been subbed off in the last 3 games! Also, I find it bizarre how easily we can lose control of games with him AND Kovacic in the XI. This is the 2nd game in 4 days where we've allowed it to become a basketball match. Losing to a struggling side, not testing a 3rd choice keeper on his debut, playing clueless football is so on the Chelsea brand!

Here's the tricky thing, we've got a lot of games coming up. So rotation is to be expected/needed but the problem is, Lampard has barely played Giroud & Pedro for ages and expecting them to just come in and turn it on is nonsensical. If anything, Lampard should have brought them on as subs etc in past games so they at least have some match sharpness - unlike Giroud, Pedro hasn't even been playing international games! Also, as bad as Batshuayi has been, going with a False 9 and then lumping crosses into the box made no sense whatsoever.

So much for looking a safe bet for the Top 4, aye? That was a fucking atrocious performance!
