  1. Doesn't seem like much has changed in terms of the numbers for Wolves, despite replacing Nuno with Bruno Lage. Don't score a lot, don't concede a lot and somehow sitting in the top 10.
  2. Lukaku aside, put any of the others in Klopp's side and I'd be willing to wager that they would be thriving over there compared to here. And not to mention, at least two of those names were linked with Liverpool before we signed them.
  3. Yet, one played his part in the Champions League winning run last season. Go figure... If anything, I don't get why you seem to persist with writing essay length post on your hate for Werner. 🙃 If you read the post properly, I had said it's less about Werner and more about the movement quality needed upfront. The lack of fluidity upfront becomes painfully obvious when we play Lukaku upfront because he doesn't offer any sort of movement to keep opponents guessing and disrupt their defensive shape. It might seem like a minor thing but if Tuchel wants to play this possession style game, then the players has gotta offer movement, mobility to create spaces for others, to link up the play better etc.
  4. Am sure Lukaku's price tag is playing a big part here and god knows why Tuchel seems to think that we have to play with a reference point upfront. If anything, it's disappointing that we haven't seen more of the Werner-Havertz-Mount combo that worked well on the occasions that they played together late last season.
  5. What a fucking piece of shit! Zouma's brother was also a bloody idiot for filming the whole thing and not stopping the abuse from happening. Gotta wonder if there had been other incidents that took place but no one else knew about them. And thanks to Zouma's lunacy, he has lost Adidas as his sponsor and cost West Ham two sponsorships (partly also because their own fault for playing him against Watford).
  6. I'm confused. Have France changed their rules again or are BBC not aware of the changes made by France? I have looked around and I came across this same explanation again on another site or there are other requirements but still allow the entry of unvaccinated people. https://www.connexionfrance.com/French-news/Covid-19/Recap-How-to-avoid-losing-your-French-vaccine-pass-on-February-15 Recovery certificate The validity time of a recovery certificate proving you have recovered from Covid will drop from six months to four for people who have not also had at least two vaccine doses, meaning you must have recovered within the past four months for your pass to remain in use. The time limit starts from the day you first tested positive for Covid. https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en/coming-to-france/coming-to-france-your-covid-19-questions-answered/#sommaire_1 What rules apply to travellers from the United Kingdom? If unvaccinated, you must present the transport company and the border authorities with results of a virological (PCR) or antigen biological screening test taken less than 24h prior to departure that did not detect any COVID-19 contamination, in order to enter Metropolitan France. https://uk.ambafrance.org/COVID-19-rules-for-travel-between-France-and-the-UK-28918#Non-vaccinated-people
  7. If scoring goals is your reference point, then it's hilarious that you mentioned Havertz considering he hardly went on a goalscoring spree when he had that run upfront between October and November last year. In any case, how do you know Lukaku isn't being dropped/rotated because we don't have another forward who could rotate with him? It could simply be that Tuchel has that usual manager blind spot and insists on playing Lukaku regardless of his form, performances etc. The fact that he cost 100 million is probably what is making Tuchel play him week in week out. He didn't hesitate to drop or take off Werner, Havertz, Giroud or Abraham last season, for example, when he wasn't happy with them (maybe Werner/Havertz should try their luck and go bitch to the media and see what happens). Also, I don't get why Tuchel feels that we have to play with a reference point, a target man figure upfront to thrive. Yes, we had success in the past with Drogba and Costa but I don't get why Tuchel is trying to go down that route again. Man City and Liverpool don't play with one for example but here we are, trying to shoehorn an ill suited striker into the XI.
  8. Back-to-back league losses for Spurs all of a sudden. At least they will no longer be able to overtake us even if they win their remaining games in hand.
  9. I can assure you, it's not Twitter nonsense in regards to the generational talent talk. And given he cost us 70 million that wasn't due to something like a release clause, only normal to demand from him.
  10. Just noticed that Southampton had 15 shots compared to Spurs' 2 in that first half. WTF!?
  11. You said that as if every attacker we have bought recently hasn't turned shit for us.
  12. Even if Lukaku wants to leave, who the F is gonna be able to buy him?
  13. What would be the point if the club/Tuchel insist on shoehorning Lukaku into the side?
  14. Even if Havertz plays as the False 9, I'd be asking the same thing. Am sure we didn't spend 70 million on a supposedly generational talent to just show good touches, pass the ball 5-10 yards and make others better. As for the comparison with Firmino, he didn't cost Liverpool 70 million and wasn't called a generational talent. On top of that, he also has a better end product than Havertz. I'll concede the assist part considering we can't score to save our lives but Havertz himself isn't clinical when it comes to converting chances either.
  15. Even when Werner went on a goal drought or struggled to score goals, he helped compensate by providing assists along the way at the very least. Lukaku's assist count this season still stands at ZERO and we're in bloody February! If he's not scoring (tap ins), he's contributing nothing and this is a 100 million player! This isn't about Werner but more about the movement factor. You like to shit on the argument but you seem to ignore the fact that movement helps to disorganize defences, thus leading to opportunities being created. Right now, we literally have a statue upfront in Lukaku who doesn't move about and becomes super easy for opposing teams to pick up and defend against.
  16. Or he scores the winner and just papers over the crack.
  17. Highly debatable. The performances against Plymouth and Al Hilal are among the worst this season. It wasn't that long ago we had that rubbish performance at Brighton, for instance.
  18. Has Tuchel's absence really made any difference?

  20. Have asked this before but I'll just ask again, what the hell is Havertz good at? Played the full 90 today and again, all I saw was him just showing good touches and then passing the ball 5-10 yards to someone else. Didn't see him try to take players on or play killer passes or do something decisive. Like is he really a generational talent that many seem to speak of? Even someone like Ziyech looks he has more purpose and danger about him (at least of late) whenever he gets the ball. Then again, maybe he also needs to go elsewhere to thrive as opposed to being caught up in whatever nonsense Tuchel is trying to do in attack.
  21. Saturday. Same kick off time as today.
  22. As much as Werner hasn't been great and as much as I am desperate for him to succeed here, think I've reached the point where I am just desperate for him to go elsewhere - even to a rival - where he can thrive and do well overall, as opposed to being caught up in whatever the hell Tuchel is trying to do in attack. We like to shit on our attackers but can we question what the hell has Tuchel done to improve us offensively after 1 year in charge? There's been no consistency and a lot of the plays are just hit-and-hope.
  23. 210 minutes of my life wasted within the last couple of days.
  24. Atletico seem to have reached the end of the line with Simeone. Really regressing badly.
