If Kante's popularity and consistency are anything to go by, he should win that award. Any other winner would just be dumb.

Cats gif? Oh how adorable! 😍

But what's life without living in the moment and enjoying it...?

🤣 If there are gonna be murders, only one is gonna do it. 🤭

🤣 The ban hammers are collecting dust. Need to use it for real at some point...

Seriously, just let them fight. If they keep on going like forever, we can just drop the ban hammer on them. We admins need some fun too.

Really? The guy literally had no managerial experience before he took the Arsenal job but was deemed to be like a WOW candidate just because he worked as a coach under Guardiola. Arsenal have been a mess for ages for now - long before Wenger and Emery were gone - but he took the job anyway. What's more is that he has a lot of say at the club such as getting a lot of, if not the full say in how he wants to be build the squad and the way he has gone about it has been bewildering to say the least. One minute he's looking for experienced players like Willian and Aubameyang and the next he's leaning more towards younger players and there's the sudden obsession with No.10s, like the old Wenger days. Since Arteta's been at Arsenal, he's bought players like Mari, Soares, Willian, Gabriel, Runarsson, Partey, Ceballos, Odegaard, Tavares, Lokonga, White etc. Out of those names, Partey is arguably the only good player as the rest wouldn't even get anywhere near a top side. Arteta has had 4 transfer windows, including this summer, and it's hard to know exactly what kind of squad, what kind of direction he actually wants to take Arsenal towards to.

The season hasn't even started in earnest and Tuchel already reported fitness issues with Kante...

Gotta post the summary when posting an article from The Athletic. Not everyone is rich, Steve. 😛

Because Lukaku will channel his inner mojo and Werner will end up scoring 100+ goals this season. 🙃 In all seriousness, has anyone actually said what you said? Think we can all agree that having Lukaku in the side means he's the main goalscorer now and it will take the pressure off the others. However, it doesn't mean the others shouldn't be scoring and it's down to Werner and the rest to produce at least a decent conversion rate this time around.

Let them fight, SJ. It's all very amusing...
-
We fans expecting it is different to everyone else expecting. It's still not a common move after all. Ferdinand might have wished Solskjaer had the balls to do the same in the Europa League final. May well have won that instead.

It's likely because managers don't often do this, do they? I mean, the highest profile of such sub was Van Gaal with the Dutch at one of the recent World Cups. Can't remember any other examples.

But doesn't seem to play like one.

While I do think his minutes will be lower than last season (he was second on the outfield player list), we don't know for sure what Tuchel has said to the others, do we? Given we have so many games this season and if we want to go far in every competition, rotation is gonna be key. There's really no need to be running players into the ground (e.g. Mount). Plus, Tuchel is known to rotate here and there to suit the opposition, match etc. Given how important Werner has been to Tuchel in the way we play, doubt he's just gonna toss him aside even if we've gotten Lukaku. He's versatile enough to play in different positions that Tuchel should be able to mix and match accordingly. Tuchel has also said he doesn't want to close the doors on the players that are already in the squad because he believes they can/will improve this season.
-
Kounde should be the club's next focus. If we don't sign a midfielder, I can see Tuchel playing Mount in midfield, which of course will also help free up space in attack.

The same article from The Athletic also claimed that Dortmund refused to enter negotiation over Haaland, especially after selling Sancho, and Haaland himself as well as Raiola didn't push for the move either. It supposedly took the club until mid-July to give up on chasing after Haaland.

According to The Athletic, Lukaku is now our highest wage earner. His salary will work from around £325k p/w to £450k p/w, once image rights and bonuses are taken into account.

And now - 1 x UEFA Super Cup. Just the other one in December to complete the collection...
-
At least we know what to expect from us, I guess but I don't know what to expect from Crystal Palace this time since Patrick Vieira is now in charge.
-
If Tuchel wins at least one more trophy, he'll become the 4th manager in the club's history to win at least 3 trophies, after Vialli (5), Mourinho (8) and Ancelotti (3). BUT if the Community Shield is excluded, then he would the 3rd.
-
Then how come he has to quarantine? Aren't those fully vaccinated not required to quarantine when heading into England?
-
The irony is that he could do so by forcing a move and taking a pay cut but I guess he's okay with being the second choice and hoping to collect trophies along the way, despite being the most expensive keeper in history (not that that is his fault).
