Probably. The main thing here though is Lampard sure sounds like a very good 1-on-1 communicator. All 3 signings so far said they spoke with him and bought into what he's trying to do. Also, it's nice to see a manager getting involved with the signings - helped by the fact it's their first choice target - rather than being stand-off-ish and expect the club to do the convincing bit.

The potential drama from it could be funny next season. One to watch.

If Messi is not free, then Man City and whoever else may not be too keen on the deal, although that would depend on the eventual fee...
