Theoretically, I'd agree but then you could say the same for almost every club interested in him. The price would be lower next year but you would imagine every and more big clubs would then try to convince him. So either clubs go into a potential bidding war this summer or a convincing war next summer.
The club wanting Haaland is one thing but whether he wants to join us is another. Plus, if we don't finish in the Top 4, we can forget about getting him.
And I just remember Guardiola hinted at potentially signing Haaland yesterday. Despite what Ornstein or anyone else may say, I still wouldn't rule out City making a move on him really. This is the same club after all that were prepared to throw money at signing Messi last summer.
