  1. Welcome back, mate! Yeah...this place has gone through A LOT since you last posted. lol
  2. Crystal Palace under Roy Hodgson are such obliging opponents. Imagine having seen us play crap when being pressed in the last 2 matches and decided to just sit off us... Anyway, lovely stuff so far. Lovely finishes for all 3 goals.
  3. I don't get paid. Do you want to pay me?
  4. PSG have gotten away with murder in the second leg against Barcelona and yesterday against Bayern. Barcelona had 21 shots and 10 on target in the second leg but somehow scored only 1 goal. Bayern had 31 shots and 12 on target but scored just 2 goals. If Bayern can find their shooting boots, they can turn it around in Paris.
  5. I don't exactly remember what happened with Torres but you talked as if Werner has only 2 years or 1 year left on his contract and we are running out of time to sell him for good money. He would still have 4 years left come this summer and if things are still shit come this time next year, we would still be able to fetch decent money for him then given he would have 3 years left. Also, have we not learned anything from the De Bruyne and Salah sagas? Do we not give players, especially in the first season after joining from another country, at least a second season to right the wrongs? It's easy to forget that Werner was doing alright before the November international break and before things went shit for him. He still has some good performances under Tuchel, it's just the performances haven't been consistent. He has also contributed more goals than anyone else in the team this season. That counts for something, no? His problems now seem more mental than anything else and his situation is also to different to Torres last time, as he was physically and mentally done by the time we signed him from Liverpool. On top of that, people talk swap deals like we're living in FM or FIFA world. Clubs can plan for swap deal for all they like but it won't happen if the players don't want the move. Last we heard is that the club don't want to sell Werner and Werner has no intention of leaving, especially when he said at the start that he joined us to win trophies. Plus, does Haaland even want to join us? If we don't get Top 4, we can forget about signing him. And do Dortmund even want a swap deal? Given the potential financial trouble they might find themselves in, they may prefer to take the full fee for Haaland to cover for their losses and then use whatever balance to sign a replacement.
  6. If the worst case scenario happens, we know who to blame...
  7. That's mostly because the service the front 3 got was shit. Jorginho and Kovacic couldn't pass forward to save their lives and any time our defenders tried to play forward passes, they overhit them. Even Tuchel said there was a disconnection between the back 7 and front 3.
  8. Don't think any more needs to be said about his misses but he still had good games against Liverpool and Atletico otherwise. Had a good assist against the latter and would have had a goal against the former if it wasn't for a stupid offside call. Not hiding behind Tuchel's decision. Just saying. We can argue about this and that 24/7 but we don't know exactly why he picks who he picks every time.
  9. Also negotiated his contract with City directly apparently. Didn't do it via agent etc.
  10. 7 clean sheets in 8 Champions League games this season.
  11. You're casting a wide net there when you say "this month". lol Do I think Werner should start every game? Definitely no and maybe benching him for 2-3 consecutive games or longer will do him some good. What I'd say though - and I've said this before - is that Werner hasn't always occupied that left forward position considering he has played upfront a few times and even once on the right. So, nothing has really stopped Tuchel from playing Pulisic or CHO, especially with everyone available now. On top of that, I think we'll be playing a game every 3-4 days now until the end of the season. So, Tuchel will definitely rotate more and not even sure if anyone will get a consistent run. At most, I think one will play 3 consecutive games before being rested. TBH, we have been doing this a lot and I can argue till the cows come home with you or anyone else but at the end of the day, Tuchel is the one picking the team. Have already argued to the point where I'm just tired and can't be bothered about anything anymore. 😖
  12. Maybe the others could have a more positive effect in the team but similarly, they have also only shown flashes of brilliance. Why Tuchel isn't playing Player A, B, C, I don't know. That's on him to answer. I didn't say he contributed 4 goals in those 11 starts but contributed in 4 of those games out of the 11 starts and IIRC, only Mount has contributed more than him under Tuchel. And some has also featured more than others under Tuchel because of injuries, just like I fucking said! Yes, that particular moment was shit but how long are you gonna hang it over his head? And I just said maybe he'll start against City. Never said he will definitely start against them. Enough has been said about him missing chances and don't think I need to say anything further. As for him making runs, let's not act like he doesn't make them. He always makes them and he's always ready make them but nobody in midfield, for example, would play an early pass to pick him out when there's a chance to. Put Fabregas in this team and I believe our attackers, not just Werner, would be making more impact in the final third. Heck, you only have to look at what Modric and Kroos did in that Madrid midfield against Liverpool and see what Jorginho and Kovacic do. It's so night and day.
  13. Okay...the point I was trying to make is not "no one is putting in good performances to bench Werner". It is that no one is actually doing that consistently, even Werner himself. Everyone of our attackers has done good here and there or shown flashes here and there. Because of that, it's come down to Tuchel choosing what he sees best for the game, opposition etc instead of "right, he must play because he has been consistent". That's the point I was trying make. Whether Tuchel has made the right selection or not is another debate.
