  8. I see... Nobody asked Willian to be Mata but surely he can do that much much better with his final ball in the attacking third (in his own way). Was he even THAT average in this aspect when he was still at Shakhtar?
  9. Ivanovic may not be faulted for his defensive work but he's quite literally brainless going forward. Said this before many times and will say it again, if we are gonna let him cross the ball, we should give back the ball immediately to the opposition. There's a reason why more often than not, Ivanovic always seem to be the one allowed by opposition time and space on the ball because his end product is absolutely appalling!
  10. Is that supposed to be a sarcasm thing by mentioning Mata.....?
  11. I know Henrique can be a bit controversial some times but I can see where he's coming from about Cahill. This is not a hindsight comment or being swayed by others but I'm not too 100% certain if Cahill has genuinely improved as a defender. It will be silly to doubt he has improved as I'm sure he has but by how much really? I mean, last season we were complaining about his positioning, decision making and tendency to back off players running at him and even said that he's much better in games where we defend (have our backs to the wall) and play on the counter. Now, is this much of a difference to what we have been doing for the past few months? The whole team has played their part to help the team defensively and protect one another and this in a way protects the weaknesses of our defenders from being exploited. In our current setup, no doubt Cahill deserves credit for the work he has done and what has been asked of him but in an open game or games where we have to chase it, have seen a bit of those aforementioned problems of Cahill exposed again but it's not being talked much because it doesn't happened a lot and/or he (or someone) always rescue the situation in the end.
  12. That may be true but how many times we have said that this season? Think that reasoning for Willian's performance is only valid till a certain extent.
  13. To call that a brilliant defensive performance from Norwich is overstating it I think. I mean we kinda made it easy for them with our brainless offensive plan, if we even have one. Hardly any threat at all in the first half when we were just labouring around the pitch. Players hogging on the ball, took too many touches and then passing backwards and sideways. Then, when we did put more pressure on them in the second, only Ba was in the box and god knows why the others were annoyingly standing outside the box and not making runs into it to support Ba! True to our identity as well, we aimlessly put in crosses into the box when there's only 1 player in blue in there with 4 or more Norwich players around. I mean WHAT THE HELL?!

  16. This game just sums up why we won't be winning the league this season. Best against the bigger teams but worst against the smaller ones. 23 shots but only 4 on target and this is against the worst side away from home who have conceded 60 goals this season! Beyond frustrating!
