  1. Think the reason people forgot or don't consider him as one is because we bought him from Brondby when he was already 16 years old. He had only one year in the academy before being promoted to the first team and then loaned out. Didn't come through the ranks like Mount, James, Abraham, CHO etc from like 8 years old or something.
  2. Are you saying that what the United fans did specifically during the protest was right? Let's not forget that there have been at least two attempts of attacking Ed Woodward at his house. How much of that has been indirectly spurred on by the likes of Gary Neville, whose favorite hobby just seem to be bashing the Glazers, Woodward etc (even if he's not necessarily wrong with the point) week in week out on Sky?
  3. True but our striker situation isn't really different to theirs but because others in City's squad are scoring the goals (not that they score 3, 4, 5 goals per game anyway), no one is asking Guardiola about it while with us, the media are only focusing on the striker even though the rest aren't exactly scoring regularly. It's also a similar case with Liverpool, where only 1 of their front 3 is seemingly still working.
  4. It's "amusing" that Tuchel gets asked about the strikers or lack of goals etc in almost every presser but Guardiola doesn't get about that, even though both us and City are in a similar boat, if not the same, in the department.
  5. Mourinho going to Roma certainly feels a bit left field but I supposed his style of football will be better received in Italy than elsewhere. Also plenty of plotlines for next season if Conte stays at Inter and Allegri returns to Juventus. So much potential drama! And Mourinho to Roma means Sarri going to Spurs is still a possibility...
  6. I know the United fans have every reason to despise the Glazers and it's different from the online abuse thing but this is exactly what I meant with these media organizations contributing to things like that or what happened at Old Trafford. You have someone like Gary Neville who was publicly backing the protest that was by no mean peaceful, especially when compared to the last week's, and calling for others to do the same. Wanting to punish the owners or want them out is one thing but calling for fans to do what United fans did on Sunday is just madness. Almost as if Neville doesn't care if people get injured, properties get destroyed along the way as long as it drives the Glazers out (which won't happen).
  7. Inter's first league title since 2010 and Conte stopped the monster that he created. How fitting...
  8. Well, if you want to put it that way...
  9. If we are still ruing that miss after the second leg, that would mean we created zilch in the second leg, which is just as bad as not taking chances.
  10. Likely part of the plan to bypass the press and when we have pacey players upfront, it makes no sense to not try and play them in early. Playing slow, possession football is also shit anyway, especially when we need goals.
  11. TBF, he has improved under Conte. But I don't think the signing is going to happen as long as Conte remains at Inter.
  12. Werner being sidelined for the rest of the season is very unlikely/not going to happen because he offers more than just goals (even if the lack of them have been frustrating) and Tuchel isn't a coach who focuses only on the numbers. If it had been only about the numbers, you could argue a lot of the players should have been dropped by now. Apart from that miss in Madrid, what other chances did Werner even have? In fact, apart from that miss and Pulisic's goal, we didn't even test Courtois in goal last week. For all our good work in that first half, our final passes were often disappointing and then we did nothing in the second half. For the squad quality that we have, we really should be doing more and better in attack to render misses like that Werner one insignificant. Teams like Bayern and Man City generally create lots of chances, to give themselves more opportunities to score goals and more chances of winning games while we create only like 2-3 good chances per game and expect our players to take them. We want our players to be clinical yes and creating at that low rate is never going to be sustainable. I was looking at our goalscorers in the Champions League this season and the list is depressing. Giroud is top with 6 goals but 4 of them came in one game. Next on the list is Werner with 3 goals and all 3 have come from the spot. After that, it's CHO, Pulisic and Ziyech each on 2 goals and then Chilwell, Emerson, Jorginho, Mount and Abraham on 1 goal each. The rest have 0. The ironic thing about that is Man City could well win the treble (or at least the double) "without" a striker. Jesus have 13 goals and Aguero has only 4, although he has been hampered by injuries. Their goals are spread out - like us - but they probably have better finishers overall and their top scorer is Gundogan with 16 goals. Werner's lack of goals would slightly be less of an issue if the others are scoring more. It's bit like with Liverpool as well. Firmino doesn't score a lot despite leading the line but he has Salah and Mane (not this season's Mane) scoring the goals for the team and hence, no one really talks about Firmino's lack of goals. We don't get goals from our midfield (we used to get them with previous teams). We don't get goals from our wingbacks despite the back 3 system allowing them to attack the box (think we are seeing less goals from them than we did under Conte and yes, I know the personnel are different but still). So it all comes down to just the front 3 and all our attacking players aren't exactly consistent goalscorers at the moment.
  13. Am I really the only one who thinks Werner shouldn't start on Wednesday? lol Everyone else seems okay with the idea of him starting.
  14. UEFA have allowed teams to bring 26 players, instead of the usual 23, in their squad for the Euro. Any chance maybe Gilmour could sneak one of those additional 3 places?
  15. Am not sure about that TBH. Mount is much more versatile and has strengths to suit playing in the attacking front 3 or deeper in midfield. Loftus-Cheek is different and has different skillset. Ever since he broke into the team 5-6 years ago, he's never really looked comfortable anywhere apart from the B2B role in Sarri's 4-3-3.
  16. It's 6 assists, excluding penalties won.
  17. Said this before, some leeway should be given to the new signings this season really. This season has not been a normal season. And you think Werner will start on Wednesday? You would start him?
  18. Ankle injury seems to be a common thing with Kane, even before Mourinho. https://www.transfermarkt.com/harry-kane/verletzungen/spieler/132098
  19. EH? He had 3 shots today. He still made the runs into the penalty area and there were a few times as well that the final pass did not come off to him.
  20. Inter could win the title tomorrow or if not, next weekend. Only Atalanta can mathematically stop them.
