  1. Hard to even pinpoint one. For starters, the never-say-die/resiliency in the team? We've had quite a lot of strong and committed characters at the club.
  2. Of course I didn't mean literally she has to show up, FFS JAKE!
  3. First thing first, give me 3 good reasons why on earth the club would even do something as foolish as that, something that won't ever happen?
  4. Can't be helped when you're still waiting for the right one to show up. Any recommendation?
  5. Well, I didn't fall in love with the club because of foreign players. If anything, that's just an added bonus, an extra attraction if you like.
  6. Can't question his devotion to the club? That's ironic. Like many supporters, I don't always agree with what the club do but I'm always going to support Chelsea FC. It's like 99.99% impossible to distance yourself from something that you've become emotionally attached to for so many years.
  7. No disrespect but to stop supporting the club because of the chopping and changing seems pretty petty to say the least. Doubt many of us enjoyed the constant sacking of managers and we all moaned about it but we're still here, supporting and loving the club as strongly as ever. Maybe your friend wasn't exactly a diehard fan.
  8. Good. Separates the proper fans from the glory hunters.
  9. To borrow the famous phrase from WWE, they did what was best for business...
  10. And funnily enough, it was the man who won us the holy grail that pretty much caused us to drop into the Europa League...
  11. Funny thing is, Mourinho does rotate his squad, though not as often as Benitez, but for whatever reason, he suddenly became too stubborn and decided to stick with the same starting XI for almost every game. Even more bizarre when he's an experienced manager.
  12. Doesn't mean it's right. People only compare the amount of games and points when the argument suits them. Yet when it doesn't, we hear nothing about the points comparison. We may have finished third last season but not once we had to worry about our place in the top 4 and Mourinho turned us into title challengers, with pretty much the same squad. Think the more accurate description for that is the Europa League is not the competition we should be competing in. But because we found ourselves in it then, we could only do what's best and that was to win the competition. After all, by winning that trophy, we became only the fourth club to win every single UEFA competition. You would be lying if you said didn't feel happy or even celebrate when we beat Benfica in the final.
  13. Pretty silly to compare the two based on the league position.
  14. Benitez. He has been linked a few times with Madrid before.
  15. If City go for Benitez, they can forget about winning the league. His league record is even worse than Ancelotti. He's won several league titles but it's only 4 in 20 years of management (heck, even Avram Grant has more league titles than him!). Granted, he didn't stay long here and at PSG but he only managed 1 in 8 years at Milan and he had one of the best Milan sides ever. The problem with Ancelotti is that he doesn't quite know how to handle the pressure when the going gets tough in the league run-in. He nearly blew it with us in 09/10 and blew it with PSG in 11/12. Not to mention, he let the title slipped last season at Madrid and looks to be doing the same again this time around.
  16. Indeed but we certainly need more goalscorers in the side though. Right now, we only have 2 players who have gone into double figures in the league - Costa (19) and Hazard (11). The third highest is Oscar with just 6! In 2009/10, we had 4 players who managed more than 10 goals and 2 of them scored more than 20.
  17. Think Cech was always going to leave this summer. He's too good and still too young even to be sitting on the bench week in week out. Hopefully, he will move abroad and not remain in the Premier League. He's already won everything there is to win in England.
  18. Compare to our defenders, he is one of the quickest (or arguably the quickest) and like I said, he's quick but not that quick. Wouldn't go as far as to say he's a speed merchant or then again, maybe I just perceive speed merchant somewhat differently, players like Ronaldo or Bale for instance.
  19. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/566019/England-injury-update-Dominic-Solanke Apparently, he's there to make up the numbers.
  20. Obviously but we don't know what happens with the check-up details and all. Then again, maybe I just like to indulge in conspiracy theories.
  21. Good and won't be surprised if he turns up against Stoke.
  22. Not too sure. Just came across the news and... Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke wins England’s Youth Player of the Year Award
