  1. I don't wanna say "overrated", but he's probably the most overpriced player in the history of the game.
  2. 2013-14 was a pretty consistent season for the guy as well.
  3. I meant to understand why the name had changed.
  4. Simply because not every member speaks strong English. It could get confusing.
  5. Thread title is not funny. That's not how "funny" works.
  6. Saying he's going to be calm and well-behaved at United is far-fetched. He had the money at RM but that didn't stop him from causing too much drama. He's a drama magnet/generator. Dude, the band name and the song title are the other way around.
  7. It's kinda sad that, without Hazard, I think I would have lost interest in watching. *sigh* Nightmare ends in less than a week, finally!
  8. It's his choice to become either a great legend at Chelsea or just another big name at Real Madrid. Will always be a fan.. He just brings me so much joy when I watch his skills.
  9. That was a classic! But wow, the opposition's players don't deserve to be called champions with that fucked up attitude. I'm mostly happy for Eden, he's 1-2 seasons away from becoming a true Chelsea legend. We can only hope. UP THE BLUES!!
  10. Classic Chelsea-esque defensive display from Atletico. Very similar to our 1-0 win over Guardiola's Barca at the Bridge.
  11. I think we should handle the situation of all three the same way we did with Ruben and Traore. Ake for having a decent season. Bamford for being English, I don't think he was treated right at Palace. Kalas already was with the first team in 2013-14 but wasn't given that much time. He's only 22 and could be a good squad player from what I've seen.
  12. Besides Christensen, I think Ake, Bamford and Kalas deserve a chance.
  13. I think he should only be proving Mourinho wrong. Maybe in the next Manchester derby!
  14. We were labelled boring from the get-go in the 04-05 season, while our main competition Arsenal were praised. I've read and heard almost the same criticism since I started supporting Chelsea. I agree it was more talked about from 2012 onwards, but I think some of it has to do with the increased popularity of social media and memes. One more thing, we had 10 men at the Camp Nou. I bet if Atletico had 10 men today they wouldn't have created as many chances.
  15. Yes, call me crazy if you want. Our 6th place finish had a lot to do with AVB problems. The strength of our spine (Cech, Terry, Lamps and Drogba) outweighs the cohesiveness of the current Atletico side. That season is the only arguable one form the ones I've mentioned
  16. "In the past" could mean different occasions. For me the Chelsea of 2008, 2010 and even 2009 or 2012 is better than the current Ateltico. We were always criticized and labeled "boring" and stuff, before Willian and Hazard joined.
  17. You know what pisses me off? When we play defensive physical football, the world labels us "anti-football" When Atletico play defensive physical football, the world applauds and hails their spirit and character.
  18. It was obvious to some, not everyone. I clearly remember how some people were satisfied with Oscar scoring every game or two. And that statistics don't mean anything because he "fits the system" which was a reason that annoyed the shit out of me at the time.
  19. How is the i in his last name pronounced? Is it like "Diaz" or like "Niagara"?
  20. The way I see it is that he had to take a gamble on Oscar and Willian at the cost of Mata and KDB. Had Oscar improved over the years, while KDB had a similar outcome as Mata or Schurrle, then Jose would have looked like a genius. Had he taken a gamble by choosing KDB and Willian, we'd be a better team now and he would have looked like a genius as well. I'm not defending him, but it's almost impossible to keep 6 attacking midfielders happy in a single season.
  21. I think he introduced Zouma to the team properly. Just remember back then, us fans wouldn't be so happy if Zouma just walked in the first team especially if it backfired and we conceded a lot. Cahill was the safer option at the beginning because you want a good start to your season.
  22. I still don't know why we bought Willian if KDB was allegedly in Jose's plans for the season. Was it a board signing vs manager signing type of situation? Maybe we'll never know. I'm not fairly convinced in the whole "Mourinho never gives youth opportunity" theory. Because there have been exceptions like Robben, Zouma and Varane. I think it has more to do with attitude and egos than age. But that's just me.
