Absolutely crazy, so odd to show so much faith in youth signings but discard one of the best prospects we have. I know some here don’t rate him but if we’d been after him the other way round we’d of paid a ton more and considering it’s a weak area for us we’d be all for the signing. Teams are not full of 11 world class players, teams are full of solid players and a few worldies. Hall has all of the attributes to be the 7/10 or 8/10 every game for us, I’m very shocked at this to be honest. Everyone around Hall that’s given an interview has spoken to his work ethic and talent, so disappointed.

Reading through the last few pages: - Olise staying at Palace, can’t be mad at it, would have been a bargain to be honest considering price hikes. Grade 3 hammy tear though. - RJ injury, horrific. Wouldn’t ever consider letting him go but my God he needs to stop whatever fitness regime he’s doing. I half think that Poch’s preseason was too much for the players who were so undeniably unfit during the season, not blaming Poch at all, just the length of which our players remained in poor shape. - Johnson from Forest, just yikes, please no, unless I’ve read it wrong and they are paying us £50m to take him. He is another Dan James, just less speed. - Noni and Sterling I feel are sufficient right now considering what we have on loan and the other areas we need to focus on. - Gutted about Hall, I sure hope there is a hefty sell on or buyback clause, I understand he grew up supporting Newcastle but we had him on a ridiculous contract, to let a prospect go for £28m? Short-term’ism thinking in my book.

Completely disagree with the Hall opinion, he’s a prospect, a very very good one at that, who needed a full loan rather than short term’ism from the board. If he had gone to Palace then looked at the Cucu situation surely that makes more sense after signing such a long deal? The only thought I can see is that the board are struggling to move our dead weight and are genuinely concerned about money/books.

Id actually be gutted if Hall went on a perm or obligation to buy.
