Quite a shame because I enjoyed watching Brighton previously and due to recent dealings I just support the opposing team.

Is it me or do Brighton look supremely subpar and open at the back?

It’s this kind of commentating/commentators and inconsistency that annoys the fuck out of me “harsh penalty that” no, actually, it wasn’t 😪 if that was us we’d of not got the penalty nor even a sniff of a VAR check, even with commentator and bias they couldn’t win, gladly.

Romano reporting Brentford want £50-60m for Toney - absolutely the correct price range for him in my opinion.

Can’t say I agree with most of the narrative here, it’s a business whether we like it or not and considering we had to self report ourselves, the non existent salary structure and the way the club was run in general was a shambles, financially. Did it work? My God did it, we were blessed, spoilt rotten and unfortunately coupled with the mistakes made by keen new ownership it seems one step forward twelve back. Ultimately it’s a roadmap plan and we can only determine whether it’s a success or not five years or so down the line. That said, no idea what the sub is in total for the travel as in true cost, but those items are a shame and I cannot see how it’s astronomical.

I saw Caicedo as our Essien-like all action midfielder but at present he looks completely shot of what to do and where to be, similar to McAllister at Liverpool.

Waiting until Christmas, won’t post what I’ve posted before in terms of individuals as it’s not changed. Re: Felix, good player, had his chance to prove he should be back and didn’t take it. At the moment the overwhelming concern to me is the work rate and intensity of the team, it’s absolutely shocking and a far cry from preseason effort(s). Team shape, personnel etc are not first priority to me/for me, it’s running yourself into the ground for 90 minutes as a baseline before anything else.

Quite a few of us have said about Toney multiple times, we’d be mad not to get him in but I do have concerns over the price and it being dragged out over the whole of Jan. £60m is a fair price considering what’s happened, age etc. That said, his attitude is questionable off the pitch of course but on the pitch I think he brings the bite we need to our young squad. Desperately missing leaders.

The real issue for me is that this is worlds away from the preseason intensity and formation we saw, with/without Nkuku.

The usual, 10 minutes of blitz, run out of ideas, youngster mentality sets in, formation goes out of sync due to people coming short for the ball, had 4 opportunities 2 yards out and spooned 3.

My point was around the fact of what gets looked at. Contact there in the box should constitute being looked at.

Honestly this bias is a joke, contact is contact? He's kicked his foot there (Gusto) if that was any other team they'd look at it. The inconsistency of VAR is an absolute joke.

I can see why we have the line up with Mudryk running into the space for Levi’s defence splitting passes but that relies on him not getting pinned backed 1v1.

Good to see accountability rather than a super injunction that may have happened in days gone by, aware there are two sides to every story and by no means have I read into the situation at great length. Just a general point on the fact that I like to see things called out and dealt with appropriately, which seems to be the next step that football clubs need to hone their skills on, Man Utd unfortunately in the light.

At some point I and we do, sure, I agree and ill do that when he's had the same opportunities afforded to other young players that are now performing at big clubs. As fans we aren't strangers to wanting the best and by proxy bashing the players who aren't performing and if it trickles into next season having a full year under Poch, in the country etc then I'll consider that enough.

He was hiding from the ball yesterday against an England team that was below par, confidence is the issue, we've seen it in preseason, vs Liverpool etc he has the ability and attributes, he needs to be coached day in day out at a big club, not a club where he is the focal point of the match.

England team selection was terrible, Kane is just pure quality on the ball for distribution, perhaps he can take the Muller role. Roll on another tournament for the fraud Southgate “but I got England to a final”, yawn.

With Ben’s recent interview about being a LW, I would be surprised if we move from the 3 x CB. I feel as though we’re in a similar position as Conte at Chelsea but in reverse of course, we need to go back to the preseason formation, I was so excited watching that playstyle, it was quality.

At this stage our injuries are just laughable.
