With regards to the Benfica fans, don't tar them all with the same brush. Nigallhao represents probably their more petty sections. Look at pachman and BenficaGlory, they have been perfect gentlemen. I'm sure there's more Benfica fans that are intelligent than there are that are idiots!

Benfica fans are not entitled to feel a sense of injustice. All your players did was dive around after that penalty, hoping to get their own back. And then there was the constant arguing with the referee, Maxi Pereira was captain and he should have known better than to needlessly pick up a booking over something stupid like that. And it cost him with that lunge on JO Mikel. The sending off and penalty was entirely justified, he got none of the ball. I think the problem is that they weren't given penalties in Portugal so they are kinda denying the legitimacy of our appeal. And with our millions, the man in my avatar created 2 goalscoring sitters. Our millions nearly saw us to a 4-1 win. Not our fault other clubs don't have rich owners. And we're not under any pressure to play what you call good football, we can spend 14 billion on an entire XI of defensive midfielders and you have no right to criticise how we spend our money. I wish you luck and the very best in your future endeavours. We have not gotten along well, the relationship between the fans got off to a bad start with that Drogba episode, but I hope we can keep it civil for future discussion.

Agreed, we did what we had to, but we were disappointing all round. Sloppy in defence, inaccurate with our passing in midfield and the less said about the attack the better. Torres was rubbish and Mata was poor as he has been for a few weeks, Kalou wasn't great but was by far the best of the 3. Ramires was good if you discount THAT miss, Mikel and Lampard didn't set the world alight but did okay. Luiz was a bit underwhelming tonight, as was Ivanovic, and possibly Cahill. JT and Cole turned out acceptable performances, Cech would have had a good game but for that late goal.

SOLID INB4 For me, Ashley Cole was probably our best player, and thats saying summat as he wouldn't have gotten a rating higher than 6/10 for me on a normal day. Within the context of that wank that was called a game, he was probably a 9 or even 10.

Sure, I tend to look on the bright side of Kalou but today there hasn't been hasn't been a negative side to him compared to the vast majority of our players. He should have 2 assists to his name. And he's been no worse on or off the ball than half a dozen of our players tonight. But still he's singled out for criticism.

If Torres or Mata had created that chance for Ramires' you'd all be licking his boots. Regardless of the fact that it was a miss.

What's next eh? It was his fault Ramires didn't score? He's the cause of global warming and poverty?

Get off your high horse. He has been thrice the player of Torres and Mata tonight. He gave Mata and Ramires chances on a platter and they both fucked it. What more can you ask of a player than an open goal and a 1 on 1 that shouldn't have been offside?
