also i don't mean to sound like racist but it's just a strange observation. it seems as if white brazilians have more creativity then black brazilians (who are better dribblers and better sprinters)..anyone else notice that?

only issue here is that possession doesn't equal wins. it's how effectively you attack when you have the ball. we will inevitably have more possession next season against weak teams in the premier league. but in the champions league, defensive shape is more important.look at what bilbao did to united, united are used to having possession and when they didn't they were baffled and outclassed. de matteo hardly if ever got anything wrong tactically last season and against cultured players if you don't keep your shape- you will suffer. in the champions league, that has to be the priority. in the premier league, we will have more possession- because we have better players in the final third now. mata, hazard, marin, bruyne, benayoun, ramires and hulk/moses all offer better qualities and more inventive qualities (ramires aside) then kalou and malouda and that's going to automatically push us further up the pitch because the current players have more invention and ability.

we have 5 cms right now. mikel, essien, lampard, mereiles and romeu all of them have the capability of playing in a 4 2 3 1 where we have only 2 slots for all five. i genuinely do believe that the better quality ahead of them will allow them to move further ahead on the pitch, our tactics won't be as defensive with the new quality players available to us. we still need strengthening at right back and we need a back up forward/ versatile world class forward. modric would be amazing but it's third priority for me.

lukaku has the potential to be come a drogba esque player. i don't see moses having this kind of potential. he is still young but i believe at best he will be a really good premier league winger. nothing more.

mate you could not be more wrong. it's not comparable at all. have you seen chelsea all of last season? or have you only seen 2 games? i wonder. england started deep against every single team they came up against. we didn't. we did it against superior opposition like barca and bayern at their own stadium. we played or atleast tried to against qpr, liverpool, birmingham and other inferior oppositions until we took a comfortable lead. also the likes of young, rooney and whoever is nowhere near the quality of mata and ramires is far ahead of milner as a defensive minded winger. still your point is wrong and misguided. the team will play better football this season because they have better attacking midfield players simple. the philosophy will change through out the season according to the opposition, but the quality is better and the football will inevitably be better. also not one of parker and gerrard can hold onto the ball, nor can they dictate the play. lampard might not be xavi or ineista, but he is a far better, more intelligent CM then gerrard and parker (who are engines, not playmakers), he can keep the ball most importantly and is not afraid of the ball. now onto concluding the hulk deal.

saying moses will be as good as hulk is ludicrous and extremely hopeful. not to say, it won't happen but it's unlikely. hulk is a proven goal scorer who will improve our team instantly. moses on the other hand will take two years to even make a particular impact. he will mostly start carling cup games before that.

fair enough. but as you've said i believe that the transition will happen naturally. better players, better results. maybe the consistency will take time but i have belief that we can win the title with the three of hulk, mata and hazard supplying torres.

completely disagree again, better players in the attacking third would mean we move the ball upto them faster and we do a lot more damage when we are in possession. man city play with two holding mids who offer no creativity but all their work is done by the three infront and toure bombarding forward essien style with more of a goal threat. we will do something similar. lampard will make his usual runs when he gets the chance and the three infront of him have enough pace, creativity and ability in them to score themselves or make goals for one another. it's a massive upgrade from kalou/malouda and even ramires (i love rami and he is a counter attacking machine, but in possession he doesn't offer much apart from pace) again, three attacking players of that ilk will take us to a whole new level. that's my belief.

well with hulk's case i disagree. moses will be a squad player and if he shows form, he will get his chance but we already have lukaku, de bruyne, marin and sturridge for this role. we don't need anymore. we need someone that will put us alongside city as the main contender and that man is hulk..if it isn't hulk, then it has to be a jovetic or some other forward that's proven.

we need 2 players to be title challengers as i've said so many times imo. maicon and hulk. the central midfield will be of less effect as all our central midfield players are intelligent enough to play a certain role and lampard is still world class just not consistent enough. the attacking responsibilities will move on to hulk, hazard, mata, torres etc..sturridge off the bench. it's a wicked looking team if hulk and maicon does join. sexy team.

firstly, if you have read my line up it includes the two transfers of hulk and maicon..that's two world class players and if you still disagree then i have to disagree with you because the first team has the trio of 'hulk mata hazard' supplying torres. it would be ridiculous to expect anything but expansive football from such an attacking trio. none of them like to defend.

again with hulk and maicon- not impossible to win five if we reach our full potential (which itself is a huge doubt) but the possibilities of such a talented team would be endless. would be as good a squad as our 09 10 double winning team.

registas can be in two forms. deep lying or attacking. we already have three attacking play makers. hazard, de bruyne and juan- all of who love to play as no 10.

on paper, it's a beastly team. it would obviously take time as does anything in life but the team on paper is tremendously strong WITH the additions of hulk and maicon. remains to be seen if it will happen tho. even spuds want hulk now. LOL

i said without those two, we are good for top four- outside challengers for title. but we need those two to complete our team..so badly. so close to giving de matteo a dream team.
