That's because in the beginning and middle parts of the season, our Defense was HORRIBLE. AVB's philosophy basically meant good ol' Defending went out the window. However, under RDM, we're back to playing like the Chelsea of years ago, and our Defense has accordingly gotten much more solid. The addition of Gary Cahill has also helped. Luiz has gotten more reliable and, for the most part, doesn't do anything too risky anymore. A mixture of these factors has led to the very good defense we have now. So, those stats while accurate, are a bit misleading and don't reflect our current Defense.
