Like I said needs more game time. Showing flashes of his talent but let's start with giving him 20-30 minutes at the end of games. He has all the physical attributes to change a game from the bench and if he can do that he could start for this team.

Agreed Ollie, he has alot of natural talent and has been unlucky at Fulham and Bolton. He impressed in his sub appearance and starts in domestic cups yet was never given a run in the league. It would be a massive success if he, De Bruyne, and McEachran could all have successful loans and just come into the squad at the end of the season almost like new signings and ready to train with the squad.

I like Walker, and glad the club have given him a new contract. With Hilarious out of contract this summer Walker would make sense as a homegrown replacement while Blackman develops and Courtois is on loan

Mata is not a deep midfielder Ollie, and Hamsik isn't a DM

Before his injury he was great and Mata has not been any better since mid January, they'll both improve again.

I agree with the poster a few lines up that I don't want Lukaku to lose his matchday squad place. Recently he's looked so much sharper, fitter and he seems to even look more lean. Although still naturally huge of course. His pace and strength would be a massive help off the bench and he would actually attack balls as well.

What I loved last year was that some United fans whined that we could have melted the snow and carried on with the match. Obviously forgotten Key Stage 1 Physics. When ice melts you get water. Flooded pitch. Or for mancs - when hard water turn to clear water it still means pitch is no-no. (sorry I'm not very good at these type of jokes)

It is a valid question. Blackman and Chalobah have been on the bench and got squad numbers far before Piazon did yet in a few days Piazon is up and Chalobah and Blackman are still considered youth and not first team. Why? From what I have seen they are both more ready from Piazon. But Piazon seems to have adopted this tag that he should already be coming on for most matches and some even want him starting based on very little. I am probably to harsh on him but forgive me for that as I am usually a bit over the top on players I think are overhyped and overrated (and the other way round for players I think don't get enough credit). Don't get me wrong - Piazon has very good potential, and all the makings of a top player but he IMO is one of the least ready out of the reserve players we could promote right now.

Why does Piazon get a thread the second he gets a squad number yet when Chalobah was included in a matchsquaf as early as last year September at the age of 15 nothing is done? IMO he's currently the better player now as well.

Bertrand MUST start

The fact that he managed to get a shot on target within a few minutes, more than Torres did the whole match speaks volumes. We should start letting him build towards a possible starting place - use him as a proper impact sub for starters. Not just someone who we send on with 5-10 minutes left as he's young and we want to see how he does

Some of these are so unrealistic. Liked we'd get Hazard, Cavani, Wilshere and Rodwell on one window. However there does need to be a big overhaul. Ideally... Bertrand, Blackman, Chalobah, Kalas, Hutchinson, Bruma, McEachran, Piazon, Kakuta, and Lalkovic could all easily go on to be good players for a team as good as us. But will that team be Chelsea? I hope as AVB becomes more long term in his tenure so will the youngsters staying at the club and getting chances. Hell, Bertrand should be starting anyway.

Agreed, Piazon is not ready. I think if he came through the academy and didn't sign so relatively late and in quite a high profile switch there wouldn't be nearly as much hype around him.

Cole today proved why he is the best LB in England, in fact the best LB in Europe, and should for that matter have no competition or rest time and start every match <ok>
