  1. Torres touched the ball 34 times in 80 minutes. Sturridge touched it 11 times in 10, a third of that in an eighth of the time. Why? He actually made himself available and didn't go hiding.
  2. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2204688/EXCLUSIVE-Fernando-Torres-feeling-blue-again.html I no Torres lover but I wouldn't look too much into this Daily Mail article. The type of feature anyone can make up (which they have done before for players at Chelsea) with zero evidence and quotes, just trying to put 2+2 together when watching Torres.
  3. I'm a Sturridge fan but I'd still stick with Torres against Juve..if he doesn't perform then definately Sturridge next league game.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=Zer_PRFOQD4 PVA also got two assists.
  5. Yeah, Cox scored a very nice goal for them in that match. Bergkamp-esque
  6. OK, so now Torres can't be critized based on the players he has behind him, not his actual performance. He received the ball multiple times and did nout. Sturridge did more in 10 minutes with the same players.
  7. If Sturridge did that, I'm pretty sure he'd be booed every home game till he'd be eventually forced out. Torres will still get the biggest cheer when his name is read out..go figure.
  8. Nice finish, with his 'weaker' foot.
  9. Josh was injured for the U21 game. He got an assist in the game today though
  10. He scored today :-) Anyone know where he played?
  11. Sinclair isn't Chelsea standard, Borini is currently flopping at Liverpool, Stoch p***ed off to Turkey where he's disappeared, Cork did well in the Championship but he (as well as Stoch and Borini) WANTED to leave, while Carlton Cole..come on.
  12. Won't you at least attempt to expand on this or will you just keep making derogatory comments that aren't true?
  13. He changed the game tonight with Welbeck. Should have got an assist after a good cross ended right at Welbeck's feet but he missed somehow. Stretched the defence on the left a couple of other times and when he moved in field he did well keeping the play going. He was actually played behind the striker. He even made an excellent pass for Bertrand to head back into the box for the penalty to be won. And for Lampard to score. Chelsea bail out England :-)
  14. 44% of John Obi #Mikel's passes have been played forward (77/172). He's the 17th biggest passer and 29th playing fwd, more than Lampard (65)
  15. I'd be surprised if he makes more than 5 appearances unless we have serious injury problems.
  16. Could celebrate it with that instead..
  17. http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/fernando-torres-awful-touch-in-front-of-goal-v-saudi-arabia/
  18. Kakuta was much more impressive when he was thè same age as Piazon at reserve level...
  19. http://www.wba.co.uk//news/article/lukaku-im-my-own-man-353787.aspx?pageView=full Lukaku interview for West Brom. Among it he says he wishes his heading was as good as Peter Crouch (!), that he stayed behind and trained with Lampard and Drogba and also mentioned Malouda (!) and Anelka, and that he doesn't like being compared to Drogba now.
