  1. I thought Cardiff did well to shut out Watford's midfield. It wasn't just Chalobah, Abdi who is also one of their best players was barely on the ball. Did not help that as TOB(think I got in initials wrong) pointed out, Watford were impatient with their passing, they were just trying to get straight to the strikers, literally bypassed the midfield. Cardiff are a) the best team in the Championship and could also afford these defensive tactics considering before this game they were 4 points ahead of second placed Hull, + with 2 games in hand.
  2. Still created that chance for Forestieri, the backheel was pretty unneccessary but the pass was still fine.
  3. FT, 0-0, average game for Chalobah, improved a bit second half. Watford three points behind Hull with 5 games left, automatic promotion still in grasp, they have a superior goal difference.
  4. HT, Chalobah been pretty poor really but then so have Watford , 0-0
  5. Haha just read back, seems like people have got the same gripes as the ones mentioned above anyway. Great minds.
  6. And TBF to him that was his best game in ages last night. Though he's starting to milk the whole I'm-confident-and-I'll-show-everyone-that-by-doing-a-rabona.
  7. All these people saying Torres has in actual fact had a good season because he's scored 19 goals are starting to annoy me, mostly on Twitter, and how he's scored more goals than a list of strikers who've played 15-20 less games than him or are 3rd/4th choice for their clubs. 4 in his last 22, 7 in 29 PL appearances, 19 goals in 52/53 appearances, not the stats of a striker who's had a good season. Sorry, not saying anything you guys don't already know, but it gets on my teats.
  8. I am not liking these Schurrle rumours. KDB is just as good a talent, and I don't think there's anything between: Oscar-Mikel-KDB Mata-Falcao-Hazard And Falcao Hazard-Mata-Scurrle Ramires-Mikel I would prefer to just have KDB back, plus no risk of him leaving in summer '14. He has already commented (as well as Courtois I think) about how he doesn't know what the club want to do with him. Can imagine him getting increasingly disillusioned if this happens.
  9. He either has to have luck, or earn a run of games. Luck, in that a first team player gets injured (which would be a travesty for everyone but Marin. Imagine going from Mata and Hazard to him..), or do well in the subs and starts he gets to earn a run of games. He's not just going to get droppe into the first XI. He never impresses with the little time he gets, as I would guess he doesn't do it in training either considering RDM and Rafa both don't rate him.
  10. The big match in Europe tonight, Watford won their tie against Hull today, pretty crucial, it was away as well. Before this game Watford were 3rd on 67 points, Hull 2nd on 71 points, had they lost automatic promotion would be out of grasp, back into the race now. Chalobah played 90, well done Zola and Chalobah :blue scalf: The Championship is getting pretty tight now, with 5 games left Bolton could pretty feasibly get relegated and they are in 8th.
  11. Also Marin played with Mata and Hazard against Nordsjælland, Danish pub team, still did nowt. He is playing with our second XI because that's his level. If he plays badly with them then that won't get him anywhere. He needs to take those chances to show why he should have a bigger role in the squad (and training which I doubt he does well in considering RDM and Rafa both don't rate him). What do people expect, for him to get whisked into the starting XI with our best team and only then we can judge him?
  12. The likes of Bertrahd are far more useful to the squad than Marin. Laughable how we went from Kalou and Sturridge to this guy.
  13. I liked Matic too. While he'd not ripping things up he's pretty quietly doing well at Benfica this season, and I do wish we had given him a chance, at the least, with us, as he never actually got that, just came in, played reserves, loaned to Vitesse and sold. Wouldn't swap him for Luiz as well of course, but he was a smart midfielder. There were also problems with squad places TBF I think. First half of 11/12 season we had the full 17 over 21 non homegrown players.
  14. Claudio Pizzaro has scored 4 of them
  15. I really like the look of this guy. Has that extra bit of flair and audacity that I like in a player. Reminds me of Kakuta when he was in the youth. Maybe not the best omen - but Kakuta's talent has never been in question really.
  16. Two in two for Baker. He has had a great season. Swift :-)
  17. Swift on for Boga. Boga not at his best today, think he struggled with the pitch. But his dribble started from deep inside his own half instigates the attack that ended with our goal. Haven't seen much of Swift this campaign. Appears RLC has gone past him in the pecking order.
