HT, Watford 2-0 Leicester. Chalobah been playing a more defensive role today while Hogg and Abdi make the runs forward - however still think there have been times where he should have taken the risk and make runs into the space in front. One time he intitiated a counter-attack and Deeney pulled the ball back, the pass was screaming for Chalobah to have continued his run. Overall a tidy game, but that goal, wow! Watford have been good overall. Still hope (and is still possible) that they'll get automatic promotion.

OMG CHALOBAH 30 YARDS OUT WOE IIM AROUSED
-
Watford score, Deeney
-
He looks very tall down there, wonder if he's grown since the start of the season considering he was just 17
-
@ChelsTransfer: Torres: I have many things still to give to this club. I have 3 more years on my contract so Im expecting to stay at least 3 years" #CFC
-
But you say he doesn't get as much oppurtunities - his record is still very good this season
-
What do you think has changed? I still think he is a very good talent - watching him more this season though think he's more of a great goalscorer than he is a great footballer, can never fault his effort but he will undeniably have games where all his dribbles won't get past the first man, his ball control will be off, he'll always be shooting and they'll be going over.. But then that'll be the same for most goalscorers. He is still a smart player, very good movement in the box whether the ball is coming from behind him or is getting crossed in.

Did you not watch afterwards when he was the only Liverpool player who wanted to stop play and helped Bertrand back to his feet? Carragher was even yelling at him to stop helping Bertrand (Carragher did a lot of yelling that day).

He and Watford were quite poor this month but he was recieving a lot if praise again after the game against Blackburn

Last weekend and Watford at last have a convincing 4-0 win against Blackburn. They have a guarantueed play-off place now. They are 4 points behind Hull with 2 games left, they have a vastly superior GD so if Hull don't win any of their next 2 and Watford get 6 points out of 6 they'll be going up

I don't even get why he started. Didn't do anything against Fulham bar run a lot. We could get Shane Long to do that. Ba is also in good form and in any case, Torres will play against Basel, I don't see why Torres in good form is given priority over Ba who has been rewarded after 2 goals in 2 starts against the 2 best clubs in England with 3 games without an appearance. I do recognise this section is a rant that Torres has no control over, more aimed at Rafa. However.. Torres is back! Sturridge today showed him how to fire yourself up against your old team. Or even just how to play well as a striker. The guy has not scored a PL goal in 16.5 hours of football? His 19 goals this season, they're in, what, 57 appearances? And I can recall quite a few ones that even Torres would admit are lucky, or ones against pub teams. On pages 469-470 yet again people are reeled into this false sense if security with Torres whenever he hits some sort if semblance of form. It was barely even good form, it was just between than the trips we had seen since Rafa came in. Now we're back there. I will dispair if he is still here next season. He has had his chances.

I think so, when he was at Forest he was just breaking through into their squad when we bought him, while they were in the Championship. Looks like someone who can poach goals but also add that bit extra on the ball that players like Hernandez can't.
-
Oh another stereotype! "I'd never refuse to play in that position and I've never demanded to play up front, either. Whatever the manager wants me to do, I will do." Sturridge quote.
-
Yep I saw evidence of this 'shitty attitude' then, like the etiquette he shows to not celebrate the goal, or when he wanted to stop play and helped Bertrand back up after fouling him.I also saw evidence of him never passing the ball. You know, getting an assist and setting up 2 clear-cut chances.
-
My opinion meanwhile has not changed that it was a mistake to sell Sturridge.

@OptaJoe: 44 - Romelu Lukaku has been offside more frequently than any other player in the PL this season (every 44 mins on average). Flagged. Apologies, it is most frequent offsides, not the most.
-
He's offside a lot. He was offside 4-5 times today. He has the most offsides in the PL.
-
He has just come off with another knee injury. Don't know what the future holds for him and unfortunately it may not be him spending the next 10-15 years as a profressional footballer. Massive shame. I still have some hope every time he starts a few games (recently started the last two games for Forest) but each time he gets injured again.
-
That's because Charly is U16. You will see him next season.
-
Can only loan one player to another PL team if you're also in the PL

@ReviewFootball: Nathan Ake won 5 tackles v Rubin, he also made 7 interceptions. No player for either side won more tackles or interceptions than him.
