Without a doubt the worst post I have ever seen on TalkChelsea, how can you compare midtable/lowertable teams playing in the first game of the season to us not scoring in a preseason friendly? Crazy. Last season we lacked wingers. Our attack was stale, predictable and found out. People say that Van Persie carried Arsenal, but for the first half of ours, Juan Mata carried our attack. We brought Hazard and Oscar, who will solve our creativity problems. You can't ignore the fact that this was our weakness last year, and now its our strength. Alex Song would have been a perfect player for us to buy in fairness, but we've got to give the lads there a chance at the minute. Mikel isn't that bad, someone said in the thread he was poor under Scolari, When Essien got injured and we were under Scolari/Hiddink, Mikel was one of our best players. I'd like to see Oriol Romeu been given more of a chance aswell, as when he got a run of games last season he looked very decent. We can't just go out and buy a whole new team lads.

Thats a ridiclouis point of view, with very little evidence to back it up. With Newcastle, Spurs, Liverpool and others all far better then they have been for the past few seasons, If anything the league got stronger, which is why we saw top teams losing to the lower ones. United are a great side, still are. Valencia is a world class right winger, and they have Nani and Young on the other. Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Fletcher (before his illness) and others gave them great balance in the middle, and a solid pairing. Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Jones and Smalling are all good defenders, and De Gea came up with the goods after Christmas. Not to mention Rooney and Hernandez upfront, with the latter having a quiet season. Quote me on this now, It'll be either City, United or maybe both contesting the Champions League final this year, without a doubt.

If that United team was the worst how come they acculamted the record amount of points for a team to not win the league? City are a top top side and will do very well in the Champions League this year. Thats there team that know each other and have a season under their belts. Its a Chelsea team that had to accomdate Hazard, a very tired Juan Mata and a team trying to play a new style, with ten men, and we lost by a single goal. I'm happy with the performance the lads gave today, and can't wait to play City again in the season.

Who gives a fuck, we lost 3-2 and battled with 10 men, I have no idea who would be laughing at is. The Community Shield barely counts as a trophey. Ivanovic went for the ball and got sent off, big deal, Terry kneed Sanchez in the back in at the time our biggest game of the season and he didn't get half the abuse Ivanovic is getting.

This season he missed a number of sitters, even after he scored a few. This whole thing about service is crazy, If Drogba and Sturridge could score then Torres should have been able aswell. He's a finished article. You say 'Goals are goals', which we haven't got many from him. Can't believe people still try and defend him, what a waste of 50 million.

Lukaku and Sturridge wouldn't be happy as backups though.

Starting wingers? We have Hazard, Marin and Sturridge really, maybe Mata depending on whether him or Oscar gets the nod at the centre. Rambo won't play on the right much this season, Sturridge wants to play CF aswell. Moses is a good young player who can also play as a striker, and has great potential, an estute signing. I highly doubt we're going to send him on loan. We're not lightweight at midfield, for the two positions we have Lampard, Essien, Meireles, Rambo, Mikel and possibly Oscar if he's going to play there. If we are going to bring in more players at midfield we'll need to get rid of some of these first, and at defence all we really need is a right back, and we'll more then likely sign one.

What class midfielder would you get for 8 million, and a young player with very good potential is a far far far better signing then Sahin for one season.

Sorry my spelling isn't up to your high standards. I think we showed that we were actually improving when we signed Hazard, Marin and Oscar. We are strongly linked with Moses, a right winger. We don't need a defensive midfielder, We have Mikel and Essien. We also showed we were improving when we got rid of the likes of Kalou and Ferriera, with more likely to follow. I don't know why you do it, But you seem to be taking the "I''m better then you" argument here, Questioning my intelligence, Your also playing the victim, saying that I haven't read your post, which I have. I read your points, and they are plain wrong. Your saying Di Mateo won't last till January when he has done NOTHING wrong as Chelsea manager. You say your argument is based on games last season aswell, Which is hard to believe considering the season we had once Di Mateo took charge. The fact is that your argument has to be based on preseason because there is nothing else to base it on! Its ridiclious. You are a plastic fan, you stopped watching because we weren't playing well.
