  1. Conceded 13 goals from 18 shots on target since the restart in the PL. Fuck me, that's horrible. For some reason I still believed in him before the covid break but since then I've well and truly seen the light. After that fraud of a performance the club should just leave him in the streets of Liverpool and tell him to walk home. Defense doesn't really do him any favors either but he should still save at least some of the shots aimed at him, right? Near the end today Liverpool had one set piece and everyone was shouting at Kepa to claim it but he just stood on his line and watched the ball as it went across the box. He's really bad.
  2. Just fucking foul them in midfield instead of letting them run past and attack with a man advantage.
  3. Sub off Kepa at HT. That's all I'm asking.
  4. Not true. Even a draw would help a lot, because we could then clinch top4 with just a point against Liverpool tonight (or a point against Wolves). edit: Slow as fuck, been mentioned by many others by now.
  5. Wasn't that bullshit called out by the more reliable sources within like an hour or two after some hack first reported it? Sky Sports just half a day too late, as usual.
  6. But the question is can he get that kind of wages if he willingly sits out a whole year when he's supposed to be at the peak of his career? I wouldn't be so sure, even if there was no transfer fee involved. At that point he'd have played so little football in more than two years (like 600 mins total) that any club would be crazy to offer him anywhere close to his current wage. And like you said, it would totally screw him out of the Euros. The only thing that is sure is he's neither needed nor wanted at Chelsea anymore. Only made the bench twice since the restart and was an unused substitute on both occasions. For both his and the club's sake I hope a solution is found.
  7. With Dier it's more like he realized he's not gonna get better than Spurs anywhere else either so might as well sign? For quality players like Kane, Son etc. it's a different situation tho.
  8. Batshuayi has probably rejected West Ham twice. First in 2016 when he chose Chelsea (I remember West Ham and Palace were also interested) and then after his successful loan to Dortmund when he thought he was the next big shit and could do a lot better than WHU. Now fast forward a couple of years, and the tables have completely turned. Batshuayi is at the worst point of his career having been totally frozen out at Chelsea and his high-paying contract is close to expiring so if West Ham are even interested anymore, he should bite their hands off for that contract offer. It really is funny how a player who's played 815 minutes of PL football (4 starts + 43 subs) for the club in four years can earn £120K/wk. Stealing a living.
  9. Tottenham have just revealed a big signing. Eric Dier extended till 2024
  10. He could, but despite wanting to leave does he really want to sour his relationship to the club that raised him and made him the player he is today?
  11. Yeah I know there are certain risks involved but if Leverkusen demand he stays and tries to help them in the EL what can Marina do, cancel the whole thing?
  12. Not comparable to Werner IMO. For Werner the wait time between Bundesliga season and CL was two months but for Havertz it's only like two more weeks. Also worth noting that for Havertz there is no release clause so Leverkusen are in much a better position to negotiate than Leipzig were with Werner. Kai is also a Leverkusen youth product so he might feel more obligated to play and get a good send-off. Even if it takes another few weeks I'd still say hats off to Marina for making business early for once. She's already landed Werner, Ziyech and now Havertz looks to be in the bag while none of our rivals have done anything in the market yet.
  13. So you'd be happy going into next season with just Pulisic and Ziyech as winger options? Willian and Pedro are both gone so if anything Hudson-Odoi should have less competition than this season. I know Werner and Havertz could cover on the wings if needed, but that's not a natural position for either of them.
  14. Gosens' stats this season are insane, 9 goals and 8 assists in Serie A. But positionally he's a lot like Alonso, way more comfortable playing as a wing-back rather than a traditional full-back in a four man backline. Not convinced by his defensive abilities. I'd also be wary of buying anyone from Atalanta. They've been an amazing team this season but I think not many individuals from that squad could replicate the same level of performances for another team. Kind of like Monaco 2017, could be some real gems in there (Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho) but just as easily also total duds (Lemar, Bakayoko etc.)
  15. To be fair Giroud has been excellent, especially since the restart. Always liked Giroud, even when he was at Arsenal.
  16. Yep, five year deal with wages of £120K/wk + bonuses. That's a clear statement of trust by the club and Lampard, no way he is let go. RLC might not be a star player or a guaranteed starter but he'll be a part of the squad and play a role. It would be stupid to count on him too much given his injury record, so next season he'll continue to be eased back into the squad. He'll get plenty of opportunities, even if it is mostly as a sub. As for Havertz:
  17. So is Trent Alexander-Arnold who's widely considered to be the best RB in the world. James has many similar qualities to TAA but obviously atm he's nowhere near the same level. Has all the potential to be in the future though.
  18. What's all this talk about James' future maybe being as a defensive mid? That's a position where he can't make much use of his world class crossing ability which I consider to be his best asset. This season he hasn't gotten that many assists but that's more down to the attackers not being where they should be and I think Werner's (and potentially Havertz) arrival will help with that. He's shown more than enough this season to convince me he's the future of Chelsea at RB. He's still very young and inexperienced so he will make mistakes, but I have full faith in him for the long term.
  19. What a performance by the team today, wasn't expecting that. Both wing-backs, Giroud and Mount especially good today and the central defenders did their job without mistakes too. 3-4-3 should be the way to go against the dippers, Wolves and the cup final now. Great day of football this. First Leicester lose heavily and then a really convincing win in a cup semifinal.
  20. Yep, 45+11. First half lasted 58 minutes due to Bailly's injury.
  21. Well done you handsome bastard.
  22. Martial coming on is not good, they're so much better with a back 4 and more firepower up front.
  23. Whatever happens, no extra time please.
  24. Depends on how many goals United win against West Ham. As it stands both are at +28 but if United win by three goals or more it gets tricky for Leicester. They should be well motivated to keep the margin low in the second half.
