  1. Sami Mokbel is usually pretty decent for Chelsea news, isn't he?
  2. What next, Pulisic back to Dortmund or Havertz back to Leverkusen? 🤣
  3. Harvey Vale was as well, for what it's worth.
  4. Aubameyang does have a bit of a history of disciplinary issues so it's not just his carefree attitude that made him clash with Arteta. Even at Dortmund I believe it was reported he missed some training sessions without informing the club and took some unapproved holiday trips between matches and would guess something similar happened at Arsenal too. Hazard never did things like this so it's not a great comparison. There's a difference between having a carefree attitude an an unprofessional one, though it has to be said that Arteta is pretty much the only manager who really made a big deal out of it. From the coaches who have managed Aubameyang I don't think Klopp, Tuchel, Wenger, Emery and now Xavi never had any big problems with him and probably knew how to handle his personality better. Arteta is a shit manager for handling the big personalities and that's why he probably prefers the younger, more inexperienced lads like Saka, Smith-Rowe, Martinelli etc. Nothing wrong with that approach of course but I doubt it will win them any meaningful trophies.
  5. How come? Lukaku was a bad tactical fit and a disruptive dressing room figure while Werner failed under two different managers and just clearly wasn't up to the challenge. Both were also unhappy at the club and wanted to move on. I too think signing Aubameyang at the prices being mentioned is not a great deal and based on his last 1,5 seasons at Arsenal there are definitely risks involved but keeping Lukaku or Werner wasn't the answer either and anyone who claims otherwise is out of their minds. Aubameyang has been pretty good at Barcelona and scored 11 goals in 13 league starts last season from January onwards. He also has prior history with Tuchel from their time together at Dortmund and lived in London for many years playing in the EPL so he should be able to settle in reasonably quickly. My only problem with Aubameyang signing would be the high transfer fee, considering his age, and having to offer him a multi-year contract where he might turn into a 'deadwood player' in the latter years. For this season he'd definitely be a decent improvement.
  6. One thing worth mentioning is that both CHO and Pulisic have their contracts up in 2024 and while I don't mind loaning out either of them, a one year extension should be agreed before agreeing to any loan deal because otherwise their value will plummet by next summer. Both are still reasonably young players who have interest from plenty of clubs so to me it would make a lot of sense to try to keep their value as high as possible in case of any loan move. If United are indeed in for Pulisic, it's a surprising move because I thought Ten Hag would rather go for Ziyech who he knows from Ajax.
  7. To be fair he already has for a good few years. Still a very useful player because he never seems to take long to get back in form when he returns from injury, but these constant muscle issues prevent the club and Tuchel from fully relying on him over the course of a full season. How this season goes for him and what his salary demands are will determine whether it's a good idea to offer him a new contract or not. At the moment there's no rush and I wouldn't make any decisions till February or March at the earliest, but if it looks like he can still contribute and his salary demand are not outrageous I'd probably cautiously lean into offering him an extension for another 1-2 years in a reduced role.
  8. For starters, the Glazers don't seem to be interested in selling the club. Secondly, Musk was only joking. Last, there's zero chance Man Utd will be fighting against relegation this season. 😂
  9. His initial deal at Leicester was reported to be only around £20K/wk and his new contract bumped that up to £100-120K/wk so amongst all the uncertainty with the injury I definitely understand why he signed it. While I hope he signs for us, I also understand Leicester's reluctance in selling him having just signed the player on an improved contract. If Fofana was expecting to move to a bigger club in the near future, he should have negotiated a release clause in his new deal so that's on him and his agent. Now they just need to hope Chelsea pay up and he can get his preferred move anyway.
  10. Steinberg also says West Ham's bid for Emerson has been rejected. Chelsea holding out for £15M. Let's hope this doesn't come back to bite us in the arse if West Ham move on to another target. Doesn't seem like there's a big market for Emerson and £13M was already a solid offer IMO.
  11. That has nothing to do with the club though.
  12. West Ham have bid £13M for Emerson on a permanent deal. Take the money and run.
  13. Offers for Aubameyang, Fofana and Casadei to be made this week according to Matt Law. Club also thinking about whether to make another offer for Gordon or if it's getting too expensive.
  14. If I'm not mistaken he's mostly played as a LW for Everton. Sometimes RW and even a few matches up front as a nine. Never as a wing-back though.
  15. Nothing is suggesting the Fofana pursuit is being abandoned. Lots of credible sources (Fabrizio Romano, Ben Jacobs) have just today said the club are expected to go back in with an improved bid this week.
  16. Gordon has played exactly zero games as a wing-back though. He may have some of the necessary attributes to make it at that position but it's hardly guaranteed he'll settle in at RWB well enough to play at a high level. Could easily end up being just as shit at wing-back as the likes of Hudson-Odoi or Pulisic.
  17. Wrong Anthony, mate. 😂 Though I wonder how much the bald cunt would go for.
  18. Yeah, saw pictures of her at the Bridge on Twitter as well. Been some reports they're interested in CHO.
  19. Rice is going nowhere from West Ham this year. I do believe he's earmarked to join later but no chance this summer, not even for £100M.
  20. Even the VAR was Mike Dean who was notorious for favoring Spurs.
  21. Kulusevski wasn't there yet but if we're going down that route, in the three January wins against them we too had Chilwell and James missing and fucking Malang Sarr played 90 mins in the heart of the defence each of those games so let's not pretend our team was full strength either.
  22. Why would Ronaldo join? Even the rumors seem to have completely died down as soon as it was reported Tuchel wasn't keen.
  23. Didn't they sign him on a free transfer earlier this year? 😂 We'd be doing them a favor by taking him off their wage bill and they don't even need him after Lewandowski signing so why bother offering any fee? Didn't want him to begin with and even then I thought he'd be a free transfer. Paying a fee would be madness.
  24. Even if he were to join eventually, shouldn't we want him to play against Arsenal this week to maximize the chance of them dropping points against Leicester? 😄
  25. It was always reported that Chelsea would have to pay 75% of his wages during the loan and Napoli would only pay the remaining 25%. They'd have paid a decent loan fee though.
