So now hes gone -who do we want ?
carefreeluke replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Hiddink is similar to Scolari though. He is a manager suited to international management. Despite he's sucess with PSV he's very similar to Scolari. Taking this into account we might as well have kept Scolari. -

Steve Clarke is why Zola is doing so well at West Ham now and why Avram Grant did so well with us. He took all the team talks and training sessions when Grant was in charge. Grant was quiet and may have struggled if Steve was not there. He's worked with a number of great managers in the past and Zola has said that he is really good with the players and that he's training sessions are very good and organized. Steve Clarke a Chelsea legend. He definitely deserves the job with the service he has given us over the years. -

Steve Clarke or Avram Grant back please. As much as i love Ray Wilkins he can go too. If i had to choose between them it would be Steve Clarke. He probaly deserves it too with service he has given us over the years. Isn't it funny though. Steve Clarke went to West Ham they started playing well. Steve Clarke leaves Chelsea and we start playing badly. -
Official: Luiz Felipe Scolari has been sacked
carefreeluke replied to DavidEU's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I cant say im disapointed but he should have been given more time. It was clear his tactics were not working and i cannot believe a manager of his experience couldn't realise that. They were fine at the beginning when everybody didn't know how we played. But now they are so easy to stop and it is clear they were not working. I liked Scolari but maybe he is more suited to international management. Good luck in the future Big Phil -
Why show him lots of respect? Respect needs to be earnt, we shouldn't boo him and get on his back from the start..but respect needs to be earnt. We showed Shevchenko respect because we knew he was trying hard and to be fair to him he was playing quite well until he got injured. If he is going to be lazy he might as well go now if you ask me. To do well in a league like the Premiership you need to work hard and if Quaresma is not going to put the effort in he might as well not be here.

At Porto he had potential to be one of the best in the world. Moving to Inter so far hasn't worked out for him. He reminds me of C.Ronaldo before he came one of the best in the world. Has all the tricks in the book but is not consistent enough. With help and guidance he can be turned into a great player. Scolari has worked with him before so he will know what to expect. A good signing for us and anything is better than Malouda....
-
The harder you work the more luck you get, in both them games we were not good enough im afraid.
-
Why get rid of Anelka? A change of tactics is definitely needed are stongest team for me when everybody is fit would be this. We should play 4-5-1 but differently. Essien and Lampard in the middle, Kalou and someone else on the wings this is where we need to buy someone. Maybe Robinho... J.cole playing just behind Drogba.
-
I can't agree with Deco and Drogba going...

I seem to be saying the same thing after every game we have played this season. THE TACTICS ARE NOT WORKING SCOLARI CHANGE THEM OTHERWISE WE WILL NOT WIN A SINGLE THING THIS SEASON. We lost today not because Liverpool wanted it more than us, not because we didn't try hard enough it is because of the tactics Scolari uses. It so easy to stop. It is the reason why we only had one shot on goal all game. It takes us about an hour just to get it up in the final fucking third. Then we end up kicking it long which is just hopeful with Anelka up there on hus own. We don't have a proper winger except from Kalou. You can't call Malouda a winger. Stoch will never get a game and J.cole's best and prefered postion is attacking midfielder but is put on the wing. Bosingwa and A.cole are our wingers that is our main problem and is why Mikel is kept so busy. We lack a player who goes in that gap between the striker and the midfielders. We end up passing is sideways all the time and we realise we are then not going anywhere so we pass back. Scolari needs to change his tactics and by bringing in Drogba he can do that....
-
Tactically Liverpool will win this one. Liverpool to win 1-0. Im afraid... Still hope though... a draw will be a good result.

If we don't win this we can say goodbye to the title.

Agreed, absolute legend one of my favourite Chelsea players of all time. Good luck to him.

Roman Abramovich backs Chelsea's new stadium plan
carefreeluke replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
The plan from the start is to make Chelsea the biggest club in the world, to do this we defnitely need a new stadium. However do i want to leave Stamford Bridge? No i love the place, too many teams are building these new modern stadiums... i hope we can stay away from that idea. It would ruin the atmosphere for a start. -
Juventus will be a tough test, Ranieri will want to prove a point and you can bet he will set Juve out right tactically to stop us playing. As much as im loving Anelka this season is he going to be enough to get us to the final? I don't think so unless Didier starts looking like he's bothered we might struggle this season in the Champions League.
-
If Scolari can't turn it around who can? Also remembering Mourinho had the money to spend to bring in the players he wanted and who would fit he's tactics and ideas. Scolari had no money to really spend. Deco was the only player he brought in. If Scolari had the money to spend i bet he would have brought in more players. Keep the faith....
-
Why not play the youngsters? We don't need to play a full strength team. Southend's tactics will still be the same anyways. Are youngsters are just wasted, if they are not given a chance soon many will be looking for new clubs.
-
A change of tactics is definitely needed....its simple i just can't see why Scolari cannot see that.... Anyways keep the faith
-
Lol that is shocking i can't help but laugh...... A set piece....

The last thing we want to hear during these times is calling for Scolari to go, booing the team, critizing them for every bad story or mad move they make on the pitch. Ive seen many Chelsea fans come out mostly this week saying that Scolari should be sacked. He hasn't got a clue about what hes doing etc. We were in a similar position last season 5 points behind Arsenal at the time, people had said Chelsea were out of the title race and they had no chance in winning the league. Jose had left Avram came in, his first game was a 2-0 defeat at Old Tradford. Kind of similar to the other day in a way. Many people were agaisnt Avram's appointment as manager no one gave him any chance what so ever. Many also thought the Carling Cup was Chelsea's only chance of silverware that season. We ended up taking the title race to the last day of the season beating Man United at the Bridge as well. Only ended up in the Champions League final too, the first time in the clubs history. This was after many people had written us off. Its the beginning of 2009 Man United this time are favourites and one point behind but if they win their two games in hand they will be 5 points ahead...However this time round we have a stronger squad and a better manager. Scolari is one of the most experienced managers around. When Big Phil was at Brazil the Brazilian team were in trouble of not qualifying for the 2002 World Cup. With 5 games to go in the qualfying rounds the Brazilian people thought even if they did reach the finals it would be a hard task to even get close to winning it. They qualified for 2002 World Cup in the end and Scolari then left Romario out of the squad which angered the whole of Brazil and many people wrote off Brazil at the start of the tournament. Of course as you know they went on to win it. To write Chelsea off now and to lose all faith in Scolari at this moment in time is stupid. Booing the team etc will get us nowhere in the end. Its time to get behind the team more than ever. I know its only a minority of us Chelsea fans but please judge Scolari not now but at the end of the season.

Man United's tactics and team selection was spot on ours wasn't. The tactics and which Scolari is setting out the team to play is not working simple as........All of the goals we have conceded in the last five games have came from set plays....didn't we work on defending set plays in training? Isnt it obvious?
-
We are not finishing are chances at the moment. Drogba has had a few in the last 3 games or so and is not finishing them which he might of done a couple of seasons ago. The goals that we have conceded in the last few games have i think all came from set pieces. John Terry is not there so i think we were lacking organisation at the back but obviously that is no excuse. As for the Man United game, we should be out for revenge after what happened in the Champions league last season. Man United are struggling to score and we perform better away from home. So im optimistic....
-
I wouldn't read to much into it, these rumours only come up when a team is going through a bad spell. Anyways im sure Scolari will be able to turn it around his a top class manager and one of the most experienced around. Keep the faith, we haven't been playing as well as we could have and we are still 2nd in the league....long way to go yet....

Drogba & Anelka Aren't Gelling At Chelsea
carefreeluke replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Why not try it at home agaisnt West Brom? If we can't beat them at home we might as well give the title to Man United....
