  1. Your point is? Ramires created that chance from a central position he is 100% useless on the wing
  2. Why is our striker not in the box to tap that in?! Two defenders were in better position than our striker for that chance
  3. Hazard needs to pass it to a team mate once in a while must be confused by Everton's blue kit
  4. They also decided to play Luiz and Lampard double pivot and Ramires on the right wing
  5. Ramires on the right flank is just shiteeee!
  6. Mata easily dispossessed by Pienaar
  7. Our midfield is getting over run every 2nd ball is won by Everton, they have some real grit about them.
  8. Only on loan, he is 31 year old coming back from a broken leg with wages over 100k per week. A transfer doesn't make any sense.
  9. Gomis would be a major disappointment, Villa is a risk for me personally I don't know what type of issues there are at Barca but since recovering from his broken leg he has lost his spot in the team to Pedro. He is 31 year old and moving to a new club in January in a brand new League is too much of a risk especially for the type of wages he most likely will require. I would take Villa if he is on a two year deal making less than 100k p/w (he is on 135k euro p/w right now)
  10. Torres has had 2 and a half years of utter mediocrity, yet after his first 6 months and waiting 11 hours to score his first and only goal of that season people still thought he should get another chance. Than into his second season he went 24 hours without a goal and was dropped for all our biggest games - people still said give him a chance. If Sturridge was given 1/4 of the chances Torres had received and had not taken them it would be fair to say he should be sold - but a lot of you are hypocrites citing 2 matches for his failure, one of which he scored in.
  11. Mikel is no Lampard that's for sure
  12. The club clearly want to keep FSW and Fernando Torres, I don't toll the "club" line - our board is a joke and this thread will be bumped a lot once he is getting regular minutes at Liverpool. I find it hilarious how he has not been given chances, and now people act like he has. He played regular first team football for the first time at CFC under AVB and was one of our best players a long with Mata and Ramires during that time. Below are the facts about his playing time in the club - if you feel that 500 minutes per season is enough time for a young player to develop you're having a laugh - despite that he has been constantly putting the ball in the back of the net. 2012/13: 320 minutes - 160 minutes per goal 2011/12: 3061 minutes - 235 minutes per goal 2010/11: 535 minutes - 133 minutes per goal 2009/10: 612 minutes - 122 minutes per goal When he gets managerial backing like his time at Bolton he outscored the combined tally of Torres/Drogba/Anelka, he returned possibly thinking that would be enough for our new manager to give him a chance but instead Drogba and Torres who were failing in all sorts of ways in the League that season were picked ahead of him and when AVB was sacked Sturridge was relegated to the bench. Torres in half a season right now has played half the time Sturridge has played in total in four seasons while at CFC. He played at Bolton at a higher degree than Torres has managed in two years at the club, it's obviously a board decision to keep Torres as a back up to whatever striker we bring in or try and fail horribly to play 2 up top. In any case I don't see why some of you say "fuck" Sturridge(not aimed at you themightyblue), he is clearly been pushed out of the club and best of luck to him establishing himself as a 20 goals a season striker - something I feel he could do with ease.
  13. Good first half, maybe some early subs in the second half to give Mata especially a rest bring on Oscar.
  14. Good header by Torres, good save by the keeper
  15. Bringing off our most dangerous player... mkay
  16. Should have played Torres in defense after all the talk of how good he is defending, Luiz in midfield and Moses up top
  17. So Robben's defensive qualities are underrated now, I've read all I needed to read from you. You're obviously having a laugh at my expense
  18. No I said that Robben; Duff and J.Cole never had to be criticized or scrutinized because in the system we had we had two world class players who provided cover for them and Lampard. You said we have the same type of players right now - something we clearly don't we are not talking about roles we are talking about quality. We don't have a World Class defensive midfield - not many clubs do. We don't have a World Class box to box player - not many clubs do. If you stick Robben; Duff and J.Cole of old into this system they will also not provide defensive cover, because you can't expect a player who plays a certain way to adopt to a philosophy which has not been groomed since very early on. The way Barca have a system which grooms offensive players into knowing how to constantly pressure the opposition from a very early age. Stick Sturridge or Hazard in the old system where they had defensive cover and only had to worry about creating chances and you would end up with a lot more effective players because they would only need to concentrate on what they excel in rather than be expected to get "stuck in"
  19. I mean if he is here, I dont think there is even a remote possibility that he would flop but at the same time buying Falcao is in no way going to guarantee us CL Qualification. What it would do is at least provide a first choice striker who is maintained some absolutely faptastic form over the course of 3 years and will most likely continue to score on a regular basis provided we continue to create at least 2-3 chances for him per game, which will be easy because his movement is one of the best in the World and we have players able to spot those runs. Still not convinced we will be able to sign him in the winter though
  20. This type of comment is a farce, I like Mikel but with his footballing brain alone a one legged Maka provides so much more in terms of interception that it's not even funny. Maka is the best defensive midfielder we will EVER have, and it is not even close. The Biason in his hay day was a force both defensively and offensively that Ramires can only hope of reaching sometime in the future. The energy he had; the brute physical presence; the passing capability and the drive at his hay day he was as good as any two way midfielder you would find in the the last two decades - guys like Keano; Vieira are in his bracket on top form. Comments like this really make me want to force you to rewatch the seasons when we had those two in the squad together so you can get it through your skull that as decent as Ramires and Mikel are they aren't ever going to be on that level.
  21. Our fullbacks would have been horribly exposed when we had Robben; Duff; Joe Cole on the wings but the squad was balanced due to Maka and Essien being in the pivot. It's the coach is job when he has players like Sturridge; Mata and Hazard on the wings to find a way to balance the rest of the midfield in order to provide enough cover for the defense.
  22. I don't blame RdM it was a clear case decision which was made over his head. I very much doubt any manager would be happy to only have two strikers available while challenging for multiple titles and having one of those players being a guy who could not score in 24 hours of football in the season before hand being the automatic first choice. It was obvious from his sacking that Torres was supposed to play whenever available.
