I watched some Samu clips. Unsure. What are your thoughts on Samu? I look at someone like Duran who equally looks a decent physical presence but has a left foot rocket and an air of spectacular about him ala Drogba with the way he pulls shots from no where. From my perspective Duran would be the better pick up but again don’t know enough.

David is good enough to be a backup. Also I don’t think Williams is anywhere near as good as this forum is making him out to be. No where near a sure fire star. Looks very loose and untidy on the ball a lot of the time.
-
Some people’s analysis of who a good player is boils down entirely to who is hyped and that they’ve heard of. Some players you don’t know about are still very good.
-
A CB and I’m happy. I think this team can compete. A right footed winger would be nice too. Think we do more than fine with the forward options we have in Jackson and Nkunku.

Constantly spitting facts.

Spoke to my Canadian mate - and he doesn't rate Jonathan David. At least not in the national team. Said he hasn't watched him for club but seen just about most of his games for country. Says he is a passenger in games and found it interesting bigger clubs were linked with him, but also said its telling he is going for cheap and still no one has come knocking.

Yes we are. All the players you hype are expensive then flop. Veiga was literally brought in as Calafiori's replacement at Basel. Not just that, if you actually go and watch a full game or some extended highlights, possesses a few qualities we actually need. He can't cross for shit, but the man is Dembele/Toure-esque in terms of holding that ball despite a two man press on him.
-
He was literally Cala’s replacement. Not a bad piece of business at all.

So we went from 12th to 6th and the plan isn't working? We have one of the best RW players in the world. We have one of the best RB pairings in the world. We have two of the most recently sought after MFs in the world. You never get 100% of the moves correct. Since the bad start, their business on the market has been superb. They are literally going to turn this into a massive profit making machine through asymmetric risk plays. Initial capital expenditure to get a bright, young team setup. Then buy further youth prospects who are touted as world best talents. Have them come through the ranks and keep replacing with players you bought at a super cheap fee. Those that don't make it, on sell for a profit with inflation going as it is, etc. All the while you have your academy players doing their thing and those being sold for pure profit. City has done the best job of this so far, but this guys seem even more hell bent on it. All that while being more in line with the rules and more cyclical with how the money will flow (mainly because they don't have trillions like the Oil money merchants). The reality is that most Chelsea fans are spoilt brats and want instant gratification. As if somehow since 2017 we have been on an upward trajectory. We were literally in a shitty holding pattern that was masked as successful because of an unexpected CL win that clearly wasn't sustainable - as per our short lived success.

It isn’t. We scored a tonne of goals and have a good up and coming striker. As well as a SS that was hot shit before getting injured.
-
Hope. Im also bored of reading the Clearlake slander on here. They started out rough with the Dodgers as well and have been the most consistently great team in the league 10 years straight. Majority in here have tiny bollocks and can’t deal with a bit of adversity.
-
We about to hijack this Cala deal.
-
He has mentioned Chelsea previously. I think if it comes down to us or Arsenal he will choose us. We have at least some history with Italian greats. Arsenal not so much.
-
Leicester fans on reddit are saying they’re losing their best player. So… don’t know what kind of praise you’re expecting. He isn’t Messi. But he is undoubtably their best player from the looks.
-
Does he? From what I've seen of him, great on the counter and when running at defenders. I feel like Jackson is the better back to goal player now with hold up.
-
Anyone explain this to me? How are we able to spend so much where as these teams can't? Is it due to us historically having these sums covered? And our outgoings over all these years? And then I assume the wage thing comes into play - because a lot of people are citing that is the reason Villa is on there. Maybe our board is forward thinking and not getting enough credit with this wage reduction stuff?
-
What?? lol. He is 120 million, and when he was talked about here back when he was at La Liga, I was told he wasn't Chelsea quality lol... Especially after a come down season from his initial good season. Now he is some superstar? People here change quicker than seasons. Y'all slighted Jackson when he is in fact younger than Isak, has less experience, and he came in and beat his first season tally in the PL. Yet no one wants to give the guy a shot to improve.
-
KDH is exactly the type of signing we need. Guys that can slot in and have a bit of experience. If it comes at the likes of Fofana and Casadei, all the better. They weren't ever going to make it here. They're adding decent "experience" signings. Guys who know how to steady ships. A good LW/SS and a starting calibre CB would be enough business IMO.
-
Hutchinson is gone. Sell on clause is what is needed. Buy backs rarely get exercised anyway.
-
Some Ipswich players were on Omari’s Instagram saying don’t be late for training on Monday… Must be close to done?
-
Hall to Brighton looks about done. Swap deal.
-
Looks a player. 50 mil seems a lot though.
-
Now people want Isak. lol… Can’t make this shit up. Was told he wasn’t good enough here before going to Newcastle because he had a poor season prior to joining. Now we all think he is the bees knees.
-
All I'm reading about this Guiu kid is how good he is from Barca fans... Saying they are losing a gem if he leaves and that Barca are a disgrace for letting him leave. I don't see the talent they do, but I've only seen brief Youtube glimpses. Anyone done more of a deep dive?
-
Chukwa is underrated on here. If he is fit and healthy, provides some good stuff for us. Think he will be a gem.
