I don't remember which game, I believe we tried Danny as cf before. He was awful. With one striker up top,that player has to be able to hold the ball, do link up play. Those are not danny strength, his strength is running into space, very similar to why walcott never play as a striker in arsenal.

I am not sure tottenham has the resources to get Hazard unless they sell either bale or modric

Everybody complains about why don't we bring more players in last summer and January transfer. I'm pretty sure avb wanted to buy somebody, I remembered he wanted perreira but he was too expensive for Chelsea He wanted modric and in the end he got Meireles Selling players especially legendary player like Lampard, Drogba is very difficult. AVB needed full support from the club in order to do that (like what Mourinho did with raul in Madrid). I still believe Lampard can still contribute in squad like what scholes and giggs does with mu. IMO we struggle to play 4-3-3 because we don't have any passer in our midfield ( we need modric) We have 4/5 midfielders (Lampard, Ramires, Essien, Meireles) in our squad and they are all box to box midfield with limited passing skill (I saw scholes/carrick completed 50/60 yards pass with ease and our mid kept missing easy pass) On the other hand 4-2-3-1 forced us to play Malouda.

I don't want to defend AVB but Fergie has so many option. He can play young,nani,valencia, or park on the wing and not only they are excellent winger but also they offer different skill. I don't see anybody in our bench that actually can come and change the game.

Ancelotti is an excellent coach in term of working with older player (He showed it in Milan and Chelsea) but since chelsea want to go younger, sacking Ancelotti, imo is the correct decision

There was no reason to tighten up because after the third goal we dominated united. united is a very good team in term of attacking the box, so no matter what AVB did, I am certain united will have penalty shout.
