At no point has Jose blamed mikel, you've just made that up. Recently Mikel has been given more freedom and hasn't just been sitting back. Did you see the ball he played over the top to Torres in the first half? If Torres controlled it he would have been through. In my opinion lampard didn't do much and was no better than Mikel in the first half. Jose just had to take one of them off so we could have Ramires' energy in the middle. I'm guessing he kept lampard on because he's a goal threat.

I think the main reason the game changed was because we moved Ramires back into the middle where he belonged and we brought mata on. Think it would have had the same effect if he took lampard off and I'm sure Jose knows that.

I think everybody is being harsh. He has hardly played this season and is expected to come in and be amazing. He got an assist yesterday and didnt do much wrong, just didnt get the ball much as southampton were dominating. I think those stats regarding lampard are misleading anyway. He just happens to have missed november this year and were always terrible in november. I have nothing against lampard and he was easily my favourite player a few years ago, however id rather have a midfielder who controls the game and creates chances, than a midfielder who is absent for most of it and then gets a couple of goals. That should be our strikers job. Hes like a goal poaching midfielder.

Think he will play down the middle for lierpool. Shelvey has been playing down the middle recently with suarez on the left or right. I imagine they will just keep swapping

Went to the game today. It was hard for Josh because blackpool completed dominated however he did look comfortable on the ball when he got it and did a great through ball to ishmael miller who missed a 1 on 1. he also had a decent shot which was saved. Mid way through the second half he got shifted over to the right side of midfield where he hardly touched the ball. I thought he was definately one of boros best players although i might be a bit biased.

Fair enough last season he inherited a crap squad and did the best he could. This season we have some of the most exciting young players in the world and we play ramires and bertrand on the wings.

I dont think its too early. Hes been manager for almost a year. We were poor in the league under rdm last season. We won the champions league by playing 11 men behind the ball and luckily scoring a few goals on the break. Any idiot can play those tactics. Hes not a genius like the media made him out to be we just had a lot of luck. So far this season we have played some of the worst football i have ever seen from a top team due to his negative tactics. A lot of people didnt want us to hire him permanently (me included) because we could see this shitty style of play coming. At least avb did things his own way and dropped players when they needed to be dropped.
