  1. Niko is the best goalkeeper outside of the five major European leagues, their defence is relatively solid as well.
  2. The Quadruple is just too much of an ask for any team, as good as we are I believe it is beyond us. A Cup Treble is a huge possibility.
  3. At the usual kick-off, only games involving Chelsea, Portsmouth, United and possibly Middlesbrough will be postponed, which will be played sometime in late March I assume.
  4. Fantastic, more ramblings about the past by John Motson to listen to
  5. Flo was magnificent that game, two goals and an assist
  6. Aye, at 17/18/19 you can't tell how good a player is going to be. Teams release players far too early.
  7. Kalou reminds me very much of Anelka when he was at Arsenal. Exciting but inconsistent, but he has been far more reliable this season. He will mature with age, its obvious just looking over the past 18 months.
  8. Don't underestimate this team. They have done well to come so far and won't be pushovers in front of their home fans. It'll be difficult, make no mistake.
  9. I've got my eyebrows raised at the moment Perhaps he could do it again then?
  10. Had a great debut, I was at the game and said to my dad that this player would help us win some trophies. He would have done, I think.
  11. I am certain people were saying Drogba could not compare at age 18 to the likes of Cantona, Maradona and Pele.
  12. He has a strange head. Seems to get wider from the temple upwards
  13. I don't want him here TBH, I feel he would be ruined at a club where there are players who operate similarly.
  14. He's a quality player, but an absolute numpty for doing drugs.
  15. I've just watched the video on YouTube and its likely he did mean it - there weren't any options for him to cross to in the 6 yard box and he can't possibly have screwed a cross up so badly that it went in the goal
  16. Well these superstars know they are not going to be first choice, and its the players who try the hardest in training and on the field that will get the starting positions. Saying that, being able to put on Michael Ballack and Nicolas Anelka when you need a goal is quite a tasty prospect.
  17. Spot on. I still think Grant will field a relatively strong side, much the same as the one that played at the weekend. BTW this game means the Derby home match will be put back, so we will have a game in hand over le Arse.
  18. Mikel, Essien, Lampard would be my ideal pick, with Lampard the furthest forward and Mikel holding. With Essien naturally defensive at club level, he and Mikel can alternate and we can give either player a rest by fielding Makelele. The same can be said with Ballack - he can be alternated with Lampard to give either a rest.
  19. I don't think he meant it, but only he knows that
  20. But the energy of Michael Essien is epitomized by the fact he would chase a ball 70 yards when his team are 3-0 up with 5 minutes left. Plus the fact he's fucking amazing in general. I would play Essien over Mikel because I feel his all-round game is more developed than Mikel's, although I feel that is down to experience and age. I think they are great together but having five worldclass central midfielders in a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 is potentially problematic.
  21. I am inclined to agree 90% of the time, although collars that you could use as ear warmers really aren't in my book of fashion right now.
  22. The two against Bolton, the screamers against Everton, the lob against Barcelona and the volley against Bayern... he has scored some bloody brilliant goals.
  23. United to beat Portsmouth with ease, I feel. No shock for us in our tie. They'll be full of confidence in front of their own fans but there is no chance Grant will take this lightly after they beat the Scousers
