No cohesion at all in the midfield though, Deco and Mikel have been absolutely awful if I'm honest; they've lost the ball countless times. Defence looks a bit shaky and the front two are not working well together. Carlo really needs to bring on some wide players because this is not working.

As much as I love Alex, I think Ancelotti prefers Ivanovic to both he and Carvalho, afterall he did try to sign him at Milan. If they offered in the region of £15 million I think we should accept it. He's a brilliant player but I think we have enough cover at CB - Terry, Ivanovic, Carvalho and Mancienne is adequate to say the least!
