  1. Il é'tait trés bien aujourd'hui. Et il est marquer un but magnifique, allez Nicolas! That goal should do him some confidence as well.
  2. Today's milestones: Kalou's goal was his 50th for the club, and Anelka scored on his 150th Blues appearance.
  3. It doesn't matter who we're playing. This is the FA Cup; romance, giant-killings and all that. To get such a convincing win against anyone will help our confidence massively. But we can't get carried away, one game does not stop a rot - but two, on the other hand, may just do so. A repeat performance against Blackburn and we WILL be back to winning ways.
  4. Ahh, we've been here years and have got more than 23,000 posts between us, who will mind?
  5. I would LOVE to see a Sturridge hat-trick, LOVE IT.
  6. He's conceded a fair few goals against us... played in a 5-0 lost and was in a Leicester team that shipped four as well!
  7. Everyone is appreciated pal - but the guys like you who've been here for such a long time (even longer than me) deserve extra recognition
  8. @Steve, you should do what I did and give it to yourself
  9. @Vedran, I forgot about you Fixed @Madmax and LDN, you two are part of the new breed, keep it up and you'll have sexy gold badges too
  10. Right, all three forwards have scored. Now bring on Kakuta and Drogba and lets get the confidence going.
  11. Impressed me yesterday in Burnley's 4-2 win in the FA Cup, set up their third goal and played generally well from midfield.
  12. If Sturridge doesn't start today he may as well leave. And that goes to show how poor a goalkeeper Hilario is. A couple of years ago I'd have said he was a good shot-stopper, but it's almost as if he's forgotten how to deal with shots. If they are low shots you either smother it and get your body behind or you use the scissor movement with the legs to block. He looks so awkward. Turnbull is by far the better goalkeeper and has to start.
  13. Every cloud has its silver lining. The Essien-Mikel combination just hasn't worked this season. However, the Essien-Ramires one has done, and the latter has been our best player without exception the last couple of games. He's been one of the few to try and try again; never to give up. We need a bit of consistency and the best way to do that is have a permanent fixture in the midfield, ie. the Lampard-Essien-Ramires triumvirate.
  14. The FA Cup - where reputations and (mercifully for both teams) form count for nothing. Today is 11 men against 11 men - and in front of our fans I expect a professional performance and a result.
  15. West Midlands Police confirmed that officers had decided to take no further action after viewing television footage of the incident during Chelsea's midweek match at Wolves. A police spokeswoman confirmed that a complaint of assault had been made by Wolves steward Patrick Steadman following Chelsea's 1-0 defeat at Molineux on Wednesday. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/8247800/John-Terry-escapes-assault-charge-after-complaint-from-Wolves-steward.html
  16. In my view, seeing those banners might be the only way to galvanise the players - to let them know we're disappointed by the performances. I don't support a football team just for the results and success that following a club may result in, I follow a club because I enjoy the sport and love seeing players work their hardest for the cause. That's why the likes of Eidur Gudjohnsen and Robbie di Matteo will always be amongst my favourite Chelsea players, because they never gave up. Another player I loved for his faultless commitment and effort was Andrei Shevchenko, unfortunately it didn't work out for him. What my point is, is this; I don't care about the results right now, I just want to see the players bleed blue and put up a right old fight. Because with the performances will come results, and with the results the confidence will return.
  17. Wanders FC (now defunct) did. The last team to do it was Blackburn, who completed their treble in 1896... so we'd be the first in 115 years.
  18. Can understand some wanting Drogba to go, but Mikel and Yury? Seriously?
  19. Am I the only person who agrees with one of the banners? The one regarding Ancelotti and Abramovich is laughable, but the players are beyond disappointing me - they're angering me with how little they seem to care. That being said, I doubt they care at all, they all get their £100,000 a week regardless of results.
  20. Devious drug smugglers tried to conceal cannabis worth almost £3,000 in a painting of footballer Emmanuel Adebayor. The wooden framed picture was seized by border officials as it passed through the international postal hub in Coventry from the footballer's native Togo. Their suspicions may have been raised because the painting of the former Arsenal star was addressed to a home in Tottenham, the team's north London arch rival. Details of the ambitious trafficking scam and several others were revealed by UK Border Agency today to highlight the cunning ploys of drug traffickers. Officials intercepted stashes of drugs hidden in bottles of Baileys, woven baskets, packets of peanuts and even yams that had been opened and glued back together.
