  1. By all accounts, he's welcome to.... in a 9-1 thrashing at Stamford Bridge, which sees hat-tricks for Torres Mikel, Sturridge and Ramires!
  2. Marcelo is a brilliant player, probably the best left-back in Europe on form towards the end of last season. Coentrao will probably end up going elsewhere.
  3. The ridiculous thing is we don't have a manager, so how can we have transfer targets?
  4. Injuries and the form of Cole and Malouda have prevented him from being the star we hoped he'd become. Talented, but unfortunately that talent is wasted on the bench. Personally I'd rather see Yury stay and Malouda go, but I think we'll see him return. We should be able to recoup £10 million for him.
  5. No, it really isn't. Its the English Premier League (Swansea can fuck off), with an English style of playing football, which is faster than La Liga, and more furious and physical than the Bundesliga. Yes, there are foreign players which make it a cosmopolitan league, but it is not international football. I don't remember us playing Italy away or Azerbaijan at Stamford Bridge last season. Back on topic: Neymar is a talented player, but we can't will him to move. At the end of the day he is still a kid - only slightly older than I am - and it is a massive, massive step for him should he move away from his friends, family, and the club he's been with for more than ten years. You have to respect his wishes if he wants to stay with Santos for a year or two longer. In truth, it would do his development the world of good if he stays at Santos - there, the fans can feed his ego, and playing every match will help him continue to grow and start to mature as a footballer. At the minute he is nothing more than raw talent, a further 12-24 month of football week-in, week-out can allow him to develop and hone that talent. He will have only limited game time with us - as good as he is, he won't play every minute, because he's not that good.
  6. If we're to sell one of our centre-backs, it should be Ivanovic. The fact he's been shifted out to right-back means that both Ancelotti and Hiddink preferred Alex, Carvalho and Terry at the time, and yes, his versatility is exceptional, but if we're supposed to be signing van der Wiel - as well as keeping Ferreira - if anyone is now surplus to requirements, its Alex. Plus, the amount of 'ALEX 33' shirts I have dictates that he should stay.
  7. I've had to change it to JF. as the username must be at least three characters
  8. His Wolves loan spell has shown that he is not quite Chelsea quality, he is error-prone and has struggled to make much of an impression this season. A move is best for his career.
  9. I think we should sell all of our players over the age of 24 and play the youth team and see what happens... that's what some members on here want, isn't it? Truth of the matter is, no matter who comes to the club, we won't see many more opportunities for the kids. We're a club that demands success and with shitloads of money. Why waste time promoting Bruma when we can sign Luiz for £25 million?
  10. If Redknapp comes and brings Bale and Modric, I'll happily welcome him
  11. Fuck a parcel bomb, I'll hack your Facebook and make you the target of thousands of religious extremists xD
  12. Santos will try and milk us for £35 million + if they have any sense. Roman should table a £50 million bid for both Ganso and Neymar... that is something they surely they could not turn down?
  13. You don't remember the rumours about Marlon King coming in after he left prison?
  14. This is where we agree. I don't agree with sacking Ancelotti so soon, but I concur with you that Roman did it in what he perceives to be the club's best interests.
  15. Overwhelming: Torres Shevchenko Ballack Underwhelming: Ivanovic Deco Geremi
  16. With all the players we're allegedly close to signing, we could put a monkey Avram Grant in charge and still win something.
  17. LOL. Not good enough to break into the Birmingham side let alone Spurs...
  18. I'd say City are doing very, very well defensively. Kompany is easily one of the best defenders in the league, Kolarov is a grossly underrated left-back, and Lescott, Richards and Touré are not worse than any of United's defenders.
  19. Yeah, Guus signed up in February 2009 and sent me PMs asking for tactical advice before the Liverpool game. I told him to play Ivanovic at RB
  20. Make it white chocolate and we have a deal.
