Wether he scores goals right now or not doesn't really matter, the general concensus was, rightly so, that for Lukaku this loan was good business. For Chelsea though, at the time we had 2 missfiring strikers and brought in Eto'o who had played in the Russian league for 2 years. I'm not overly in awe by our strikeforce atm, although they're doing better than I expected in August, I still think we could've used him this season.

Yep, and he's trying too hard which makes him look silly. At times it looks as if he's trying to mimic Hazard.. problem is he's not nearly as fast, his accelaration is average at best. He needs to play to his strengths, positioning and passing.

You have to take into account the absence of Kompany (which is massive) and debutant Meunier on the right back. But yea, we're a tad overrated and will ultimately get kicked out before reaching any place of note because of lack of experience and worldclass manager.

That's the thing with hyped up players, the media creates an image of the so called new Messi or Ronaldo or whatever and inadvertently people use it as a benchmark to judge said players. People on here will criticize him even if he is our motm because he is called Hazard and 'we all know his potential, he should do better'. This is such a flawed way of thinking and will only set you up to be disappointed more often than not. He is Eden Hazard, not Ronaldo, we saw what he can do last year, he hasn't reached his level from his Lille days but tbh people need to cut him some slack and let him grow.

He'll grow into the season, he's been drastically better in the latter part of the season for 3 years straight now, it might not be a coincidence. He does need more consistency, something that will come in time I'm sure

I'm not slagging of Schurrle am I? I'm saying he has been decent. Probably comparable to Hazards performances, albeit in his own different, energetic kinda way. I just don't think he's been as good as some are saying. It was indirectly aimed at Leif's post which Stingray quoted. Anyway, I don't want to make a fuss, you know what I mean.

The discussion is about player spots in the team. They both play for Chelsea, both play AML and both are expensive signings. Comparisons in this case are completely warranted. Especially considering the difference in treatment from our fanbase on here. If you see that as "Schurrle vs Hazard", so be it. I like Schurrle btw, just to make that clear.

Didn't you hear? It's the new trend to whine about Hazard. Can't wait to see the sheep getting all excited when he performs decent again.. oh right he IS performing decent, but anything less than brilliant is unacceptable. Only Schurrle is allowed to be 'just decent' because he cost a bit less and is our new boy.

Obviously they CAN pass forward, everyone can. Finding yourself space to pick out the right pass is another matter. Point is, our pivot lacks quality. Mainly talking about Lampard/Mikel, I don't necessarily rate Ramires as a player in the pivot.
