Look at what games Luiz started in the pivot. You yourself (I think) posted them a few pages back. They're all relatively easy and you'd expect us to win the vast majority of them even with a few first team players missing.

Agreed. But as opposition fans, it's inevitable that we ask why did the FA just let it happen and not ban talking about refs before matches? But I realize that it's not that easy because Mourinho, for example, plays mind games to manipulate his opponents before a match. Is that too dis-similar to manipulating refs? Should the FA ban that as well? Where do you draw the line? I personally think that the FA could have done better in some places, but it is definitely not an easy matter to deal with. Fergie knew that and he used it to his advantage.

I don't believe that the FA is corrupt (at least in the sense that they deliberately favor united over other teams), but it is almost undeniable that united seem to have better "luck" with the officiating, and that, imo, is because Ferguson was the best manipulator of the refs for many reasons like his experience, his name in football..etc Whenever he talked about refereeing before a game, you guys would get 50-50 calls given your way. Whether that is "fair" or not or should have been allowed or not is an entirely different matter. But it certainly happened and it certainly worked more often than not.

That's about as likely as all of our senior players who can play as striker getting injured at the same time and us having to rely on Feruz to lead the line. Besides, worst case scenario is that we ask the FA for an emergency loan for a GK in the unlikely event that both Cech and Schwarzer get injured at the same time.

I added a poll to see what everyone wants for next season. We currently have 19 active teams so if we're going for a simple league with no cup, I think it's best to have 2 leagues with 10 teams each so we don't have the problems we had with schedules this season. If we you guys want a cup, then it's best to go with 3 or even 4 leagues with less teams because cup drags the season on for a long time. What do you guys think?

Most teams usually have a much better win percentage with young players instead of senior ones and backup GKs instead of first choice because those players only get game time against weaker teams most of the time. Just like Barcelona, up until last season, had 100% win record when Messi doesn't play in 2 or 3 consecutive seasons..etc

That's very harsh. He's good keeper for his age and he's earned his chance with the first team. And we won't have to rely on him, that's why he's 3rd choice.

I think we moved this to the "ex-blues" a bit too soon. Apparently he's been training at Cobham. Not sure if that means he's getting the extension that Petr said he'd get. If that's the case, I'll be gutted if he takes Jamal's spot as the 3rd keeper.

Inter are a very average side now. Mark Kovasic and the game is as good as won. I don't think we'll be making as many subs as we have in the previous games. I think Jose will put out our strongest team at least for 60 mins.
