Did he get the official MOTM? I read somewhere that he did. If so then it was completely deserved. I honestly believe he's one of the best CBS in the league and he'd literally walk into the starting XI of any team in the league. Can't help but think that it's such a shame he's played exclusively out of position this season.

Didn't have a lot to deal with, but what a big save he came up with from that Allen Volley. But the bigger save for me was when he came out almost to the pen spot in the first half to collect Suarez's low cross right before it reached Sterling's feet.

Not as strange as De Gea winning it last season. Yeah he doesn't deserve it on the season he's had, as there are keepers who have exceeded expectations and had excellent seasons like Marshall, but on ability alone, Petr is still by far the best keeper in the league.

Mental aspect is a huge one in football. That's why I would have bet you anything that barca, for example, would lose today after the tragic week they've had, and they are 2-0 to Villareal. If players don't have a certain target or objective they won't come into the match with the right mental preparation. City have a HUGE advantage to win all three of their remaining matches, imo.

I think the fact that Cole played today probably means that JT will be fit for Atletico. There is no way that Jose will play Cole in 3 matches in one week.

Physically we'll have the edge since the majority of our players were rested today while they played a full strength team and have to travel. I think Gabi will be a miss for them more than Frank and Mikel for us. I forgot, is Willian suspended for this one or not?
