QPR manager, Harry Redknapp, has confirmed in his prematch inteview today, that his 27 year-old striker, Loic Remy, will be joining Chelsea before the end of the transfer window. This announcement by Redknapp comes after the Frenchman was completely left out of his team's matchday squad against Sunderland. Remy, who scored 14 goals in his 26 appearances for Newcastle on loan from QPR last season, has been heavily linked with Chelsea for the past couple of days as a replacement for Fernando Torres who has left Stamford Bridge to join AC Milan on a 2-year loan deal. Known for his explosive pace and clinical finishing, Loic offers an excellent option off the bench, and a good bargain for the reported 8.5m. What was wrong with Crespo? He did well at his time here but wanted to leave because he never adjusted and fit in the London life.

I think Maribor are being underestimated a bit. I watched almost all of their EL matches last season (they were in the same group as Thorgan's Zulte) and they are a good organized side that is very difficult to beat. They will take points off teams in the group, make no mistake.

According to the Telegraph, we're not paying him anything. When the two-year loan ends his contract with Chelsea would have expired. So, NO, he won't return. He's gone for good.

I think they could be since this is a loan and not a transfer, hence they won't be paying any fees.
