  1. Feel for Athletico, but honestly Real deserved it much more tonight. Happy for King Carlo. He sure knows how to win big games!
  2. Got to say, Real have deserved it. Athleti only played well for about 30 mins and let Real play the way they want for the rest of the match.
  3. I'm not a fan of his, but he's had a great season and he's been absolutely immense tonight, I must admit.
  4. You obviously haven't been seeing Chelsea for the past decade! When have we ever given a 21yr old time and space to make mistakes?! I'm not debating whether or not that is right, I'm saying that it is true. And the situation ins completely different in the Serie A even at a top club like Juve.
  5. How did Derby mess that up? Couldn't even score against 10 men. If only they had a player with pure scoring instinct who scores in almost every match he plays in...
  6. He is not a consistent perform. It would be out of this world if here for someone of his age playing the role he plays. He's far more inconsistent than Vidal because even on bad form, Arturo still puts in decent performances.
  7. That's kinda my whole point. In short: He will likely become world class but because of his age he's still very inconsistent and still sometimes comes up with pretty bad performances whihc I don't think he can afford to do here at Chelsea. My opinion is that we need someone who is a finished article to be a starter in midfield. And NO, he was not by any stretch of the imagination Juve's most consistent player. That's probably Buffon or Chiellini.
  8. Two years we were a completely different club. We were challenging for 4th and in the EL, now we're challenging for the title and the CL. Two years ago Ryan Bertrand was an important player for us. We can't have that now. We need someone in his prime to be a starter in our midfield.
  9. That has got to be the first time in history anyone has ever said that about Marchisio! Marchisio has all the talent and ability in the world, but just lacks the mental aspects. Not sure he can work in a 2-man midfield, tbh.
  10. Trust me, Paul has had pretty bad performances, not just this season. At times he was the worst Juve player on the pitch, so it's not comparable to Vidal. It's pretty normal, he plays in a position that requires a lot of maturity and experience and he's still very young. The way the Serie A and Juve work, the inconsistency is not a big deal, but if he comes here to Chelsea, he will be absolutely butchered. There's just too much pressure and the media and the fans will be calling for his head after the first bad performance.
  11. He can't be that bad because the teams that wanted to buy him besides PSG where Bayern and Barca. Some of the best teams in Europe.
  12. Pogba has the potential to become the best central midfielder in the world and certainly one of the best players in the world. But he's still got a long way to go. Right now, for most people who don't watch Serie A and Juve regularly, they see a couple of performances where Paul is world class and is the best player on the pitch, and he's certainly capable of producing those performances, but they don't see the performances where he's less than impressive. He's simply far too inconsistent at the moment. Yes, he's had some world class performances, but he's also had some pretty bad ones, some even in big games (Galatasaray away springs to mind). And while at Juve he can afford to make mistakes and have bad performances, he can't do that here. That's why I would not want Pogba here this summer. I think we need someone who's over 25 and who has the maturity and consistency even if he does not have Paul's raw talent.
  13. Yeah, remember that. That also coincided with his best form for us. He was by far the best defender in the league the last few months of last season.
  14. After reading all the sources, I think it is an original fee of 40.1m that can reach about 48m with add-ons and bonuses.
  15. United 10-11 has to be up there. THAT goal is one of my favorites.
  16. Ha! Trying reading the rules a bit, it helps. Good luck!
  17. Yeah, no official fee disclosed, but all the sources reporting that the fee is 40.1m that could rise to about 48 with bonuses (both in pounds).
  18. Great guy and a great footballer. I wish him all the best and trust that he'll have an excellent future at PSG. But I have to say it was amazing business for us and hope that money gets utilized wisely.
  19. Actually JT was a united fan and I'm pretty sure Frank wasn't a Chelsea fan before he moved here. Lukaku and Schurrle are fans, though, if that helps..
  20. I heard it was 49.5M€, or 40.1M£ according to L'equipe. Anyway, it doesn't make much of difference.
  21. Only bad part about this transfer. I might have to actually give credit to Neil Ashton
  22. We're trying to get it done before the PSG broad of directors sober up!
