QPR manager, Harry Redknapp, has confirmed in his prematch inteview today, that his 27 year-old striker, Loic Remy, will be joining Chelsea before the end of the transfer window. This announcement by Redknapp comes after the Frenchman was completely left out of his team's matchday squad against Sunderland. Remy, who scored 14 goals in his 26 appearances for Newcastle on loan from QPR last season, has been heavily linked with Chelsea for the past couple of days as a replacement for Fernando Torres who has left Stamford Bridge to join AC Milan on a 2-year loan deal. Known for his explosive pace and clinical finishing, Loic offers an excellent option off the bench, and a good bargain for the reported 8.5m.
