What a great physical battle between Atletico and Juve.

His heading stats are fine, but when you consider his height and size, he should really be dominating everything in the air in midfield.

I thought his performance was okay No seriously, yes his finishing was terrible, but that applies to everyone yesterday. In midfield he pressed amazingly well and was probably the main reason why we dominated the first half so much. He won the ball back so many times near the halfway line.

I think it'll be a draw as well. But I never predict anything other than a Chelsea win.

That wasn't at all aimed at you, btw. It was just an observation after reading through the last dozen threads in this section. Regarding Matic. I think he can be superb in certain matches and situations, but he's far from the finished article, imo. He still has a lot of room for improvement in areas like passing, heading, positional awareness, ball retention...etc. Don't think he has much competition for best DM in the PL, though..

True, the defender made a mess of it, but still, Nemanja had no right to score from that angle and to loop it over the keeper who was practically on his line. Pretty special header.

We took the same chance in the second half of last season and I thought we were playing with fire. Hope we can get away with it again. Two injuries to defenders and we're screwed.

It was the last few games of his reign but he did drop Cole for Bertrand. Napoli game for example. The story about Roman is just a tall tale. Either that or we are the worst run club in professional football. It was juts something made up by the fans to justify for RDM. And Danny was injured for a week or two during Benitez's first two months. And we were playing 2 times a week every week back then but still he would not even rest Torres for Danny. AVB never started him as a striker either despite Torres' and Droba's forms. Regarding Terry, Benitez had no choice after JT had those back to back long-term injuries, plus the replacements were established players like Luiz, Caill and Iva, not some youngster like Danny or Ryan. And regardless of how they proved to be better, the politics at Real and Jose's personal issues with Pepe and Cassillas played a big part in why they were dropped.

AVB did. Anyway, it's incredibly difficult for any youngster when you have such a big name in front of you. Sturridge was never given a proper chance ahead of Torres by AVB, RDM or Benitez. It's always easier to go with the established name. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that Ryan could ever become as good as prime Cole, I just think he is better than he was treated by Chelsea, especially last season.

I'd say most probably after the international break.

He should come off 'injured' in the last few minutes against Arsenal and 'have to' miss the international matches.
