Take nothing away from Hazard, he has skill and very accurate finishing, I just don't think he'll be the next best player in the world.....still want us to sign him though.

I would much rather we sign a world-class player and Manu don't. Their squad is already looking the strongest. And for the record I'd take sneijder over modric any day. He has great experience playing with big teams, have won the CL and almost single-handedly took Netherlands to World Cup finals.

I was just watching another Hazard video on youtube....french teams have some really crappy defenses! Hazard looks like a slow-motion version of Ronaldo.

This deal seems to be reality...it's mention almost every where including celtic fans forums. He seems a promising striker( I presume he's a striker, I just saw his videos on youtube)...good finishing with his head and feet.

Well did you expect him to say: "Here at Chelsea FC we have horrible players such as Anelka malouda and kalou who can't compete at any professional level. And I'm deliberately insulting them and destroying their self-confidence even though they are still player at Chelsea because I'm just stupid"??!

Liverpool have several players in that position (Gerard, Adams..) so they will be looking to sell, I just don't think that chelsea are interested....and rightly so too since we don't need him.

Hazard looks impressive, but let's not forget that that's the French league we are talking about...everyone there appears more impressive than they actually are.

All salaries and transfer wages nowadays are absolutely absurd, may I remind you that we signed bosingwa for 18m (if I remember correctly). If you're saying that he lacks consistency then I agree. But we are getting desperate, so I guess our strategy is sign Nasri and pray he stays more consistent at chelsea.

I agree, and I'd like to add that it's particularly harder for chelsea, the price of every player that we try to sign just rockets sky-high when chelsea say they're interested in him. Everybody wants Abramovichs cash!

If he had real quality he'd probably have stayed in Italy or at least Portugal instead of going to turkey!

He is absolutely brilliant on his day, with a bit more consistency he'll be a perfect winger for us....we'll never sign him!

I really hope that AVB mentioning him means that we're getting him. Problem is there are only 2 weeks left on the transfer market and with no real links in the media, we either haven't started negotiating with him, or we did but are being uncharacteristically quiet about it. (I'm hoping for the second option.)

It's true he only played good for six month, but during that he showed real class and great quality...that doesn't just go away, besides he's still young and can grow a lot as a player. I'd choose him over Modric any day.

Mereles is a one hit wonder. He had a good half season and I really doubt he'll have another. He just doesn't have the quality in my opinion. Anyway he is not what we need, he is not a winger nor a creative midfielder.

He's been training with chelsea since last week, and seems very happy....it must be some sort paperwork that's keeping the deal.

True, but they never cheated against chelsea (that I know of) so I don't mind that!

For me it's their constant diving all over the place and mainly their stuck-up attitude and how they expect all the refs to give all the decisions in their way just because they are Barcelona.

I'm not a fan of real madrid either because they have players Ronaldo, but I'd prefer any team in the world over the group of cunts that is Barcelona

Personally I'm rooting for Madrid, I can never get over the CL game with barca...how about you guys?
