yea, but Neither of those players are the traditional wingers. Lucas seems fast enough to really give our middle some speed. Mata and Lucas(if we get him) can alternate from time to time

I really like him because he's a CAM. Mata can stay on the left wing, after all, Iniesta and Silva play the wings too

If Malouda agrees to be a backup, I think He'll be the best backup around. He looked great against Norwich except a few moments.

Begin better than Mata is one thing, and being A player Chelsea, or most teams, would rather have is another. I wouldn't trade Mata for Gomez, Ibra, Aguero, or Hazard at this precise time.

we are a long way from barca but since we play the same formation as them, trying to play like them is the best we can do. i would like a diff formation but i dnt want a coach that is too soft on his ideals. That's why I hope we slowly implement the high line again

The problem is since we moved from the high line we've looked no different from last year. And during the high line our defense was pretty bad. we also didn't expect to be behind Spurs.

exactly what I've been thinking OP. Our best players are great, but are not really good enough to beat the Barca's of the world. I think maybe the high line should slowly come back, or atleast the "Mid-line" since our orfense was much better playing the high line. United are similar to use but they have Fergie and Rooney. Maybe we should hope Torress hits form or put Danny in the middle; bring in a RW and sign another CAM.Ramirez should probably play DM. If we can't find a CAM we can play Mata in the mid similar to Iniesta. but I ultimately think we are 2-3 players short of top 5 teams in the world.

I have a feeling Roman willn't be as willing to spend money on a team that doesn't have similar ambitions. that no vote basically said, "if u want money to buy players, don't expect us to help u out"

good team but if we go with: Ramirez, Mikel/Romeu, and Mierales. with Anelka, Torres/Drogba and Mata up front, I predict a 2-0 win. Anything else might be a struggle for us.

Mata is all over the pitch. I think AVB wanted Fereria so he would be able to play the left wing and Mata would be able to roam more. I do however think Torres players so much better with Mata, Mierales and Ramirez on the field rather than Lamps as his supplier. So I say stick to our Swansea line up for Valencia and play Lampard at Bolton. Did Lamps really walk off?
