I don't mean comfortable as in we were bossing the game. We clearly weren't. But city were very obviously struggling to create anything at all. Everytime they went forward, we cleared it and they had to come at us again.
I know city were the better side. The difference in quality is huge. But that doesn't mean a thing! They were losing confidence every minute. They kept giving balls away, misplacing passes, etc. we were comfortable! It was going to be a classic snatch and grab but for that moment of stupidity.

Essien you twat. Why can't these fucking players keep their hands down. I'm so mad right now. We were on our way to 3 precious points before that fucked up handball. I don't even care that city were dominating before the pen. They had ZERO penetration and were losing confidence every second Fuck this shit ugh. I hate it when individual mistakes like this RUIN games. It was a superb defensive performance up til the pen. And Essiens mistake just negated all of that. Also bringing Drogba on turned out to be a mistake. Torres wasnt doing much in an attacking sense but he was tracking back and helping out a lot. Drogbas legs are gone and with city dominating so much, there was no point in bringing him on. Really stupid call by di matteo I'm so pissed off. We should have won that.
Hmm agree with that. Don't know what to think about Essien after that shocking 1st half against Napoli. He got better after the 2nd half but it was still a horrific 45mins
All this City frustration is BRILLIANT. Exactly what we wanted to do. If only we had some more penetration and better wing play. Ramires has been shite every time he's gone forward. Three or four times he got into amazing positions but pathetic control and bad choices let him down Bosingwa ugh. Meireles has been rubbish too. I'd keep things exactly the same for now. Bring on Sturridge for Meireles at the 60/65th minute mark if it's still 0-0
On paper I think this is a good move. Drogba is more suited for the Spurs game on Saturday and we're going to be playing on the counter today so Torres would be better for that Of course, this could all backfire and Torres could flop completely
Surprised by that!! I know Di Matteo talked about it in the pre-match interview but I assumed that was just to keep things confusing. This is a big big call. Hope Torres repays the faith shown by RDM
Less than 2 hours to go! So nervous! I have an early class at 8 so since the game will end at 6am (my time), I won't get to sleep at all tonight. Hope we get a positive result or I won't be able to focus at all!
I'm sure Di Matteo had some words with him after Sunday's game. His "selfishness" was more noticeable than usual and some of the other players were clearly frustrated by him - not to mention the fans were as well - so curious to see how he performs in the next few games.
