As every other cfc fan has done i was watching the clips on youtube and love the fact that we seem to have signed a player who loves football and seems to be in it for the right reasons. Also the clip of him visiting the ground is an absolute beauty of a crowd winner, its what all young footballers should be like. My favourite clip is when hes running with two defenders and puts all his body to hold one off and as the other comes at him he almost tries to fend him off with his head, desire to win and give everything is glaringly obvious and what youl need to succeed in prem. Knowhere need the finish article but id bet my bottom dollar hel try to be the best he can. Something which i think if sturridge had would be playing for england right now.

would have to say anelka. Really dislike him in a way. He could have been the best player in the world but the second the money started rolling he started cruising and picks n chooses his game and im not sure what the facts are but last season against blackpool it looked like he refused to come on at one point and that aint for me. kalou does ok as a sub at times but id say move them both on.
-
not even id want josh to get his break under those circumstances

We all have a moan sometimes about players playing for money etc, He showed today that he values his job and the team at a time where he could of sat the game out. Puts things into perspective.

just read this, apparantley mikel knew before stoke game. http://www.kickoff.com/mobilen/content/article/23652

I disagree with things like that happen in football comment. He had absolutely no need to go in that hard, it was reckless. Like sayin if you hit someone in a car whilst speeding but didnt mean its not as bad, its still reckless and your meant to be a professional.

Firstly the facts i base it on is the fact he played last year for a team that came 2nd in the prem and got to the quarter finals of the champions league and i dont think u play centre mid for a team that does that well if your poor. He wasnt chelseas worst player apart from maybe the 1st leg against man utd. No manager has dropped him and he still plays for england. If he was to go for sale he would move to another top club. Maybe i shouldnt use the word fact but im pretty sure im right and the majority of public would agree. He's performances are definately dropping i hve no argument with that and if you look at my previous posts ive said that he should be moved on. I dont think he should be excempt from criticism just think hes an honest pro who gives it all, slag the manager off not him.

i think the problem is sentiment and the fact that lampard is still a good player but just not gonna move us forward. If we played long and direct with him bombing on i think he cud still be a top player but we want and need to press and play quicker and he cant. Its easy to jump on the bandwagon and say hes no good or old etc, the facts are he is good, is still fit but just not chelseas standard if we want to get back to the top. Man utd played cleverley and anderson today, scholes was still class but getting slower, just preferred to retire then graft it out. Lampard cud do worse then go to milan or someone like that, have another cpl of good seasons at the top level and retire. He is a cfc legend and dont want to ever get on his case.

New Blues era begins in frustrating style
lentherussian replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Chelsea Articles
Do think bosingwa's rating is a bit harsh. Thouht he was positive and also good defensivley, however we all see games differently, other than that id agree. After the way benayoun played pre season im really suprised we started kalou ahead of him. -
you think? i see him as very cynical defender. I would put a decent wager that he'l get sent off in the europa league this year. His tackle on ramsey was horrendous and really cant understand why ppl defended it. Woodgate was head and shoulders there best player. That wasnt a compliment to his hair by the way.

after watching the game and both interviews i think we should all look at the positives and negatives with sensible heads. Yes its always dissapointing for us to drop points, yes kalou and malouda were poor but also it was a tough fixture. I disagree with people saying this is a hard game and that will be an easy game because you never know till youve played it. We arent an easy away game for a team but we were for sunderland last season. Im more dissapointed that after 1 game the refs have already been lenient to fouls and let players make up with lack of abiity by deliberate fouling that goes unpunished. I dont blame stoke and pullis because if you get away with it then carry on, stoke arent gonna get the players some teams at that level can so make sure they work hard and follow your orders. I say that even though i think there anti football and a bit depressing sometimes, but its not for pullis to change its for the refs to stop it. We should have had at least one pen. However begovic was top drawer and woodgate played well for them and if stays fit will get stoke some points this season. I was a massive critic of torres last year and love drogba but AVB got it right. Torres looked a different player to last year and we should get behind him and hopefully get him firing for us. We defended really well, alex really played for his place. Ramires looks the part and mikel had a shot! Thouht lampard and the wing situation is an issue but overall pleased with the commitment and effort of the team. I think mcheachrans good enough so should be old enough to play games and think he turns and releases the ball quicker than lampard and mikel and we should of brought him on. Bosingwa was good also. Overall i think wel be alright, they were massively up for it and played them off the park second half, Man utd might have just beat wba but have a lot more questions to answer then we do off those performances.

theyve had it all redone spent millions on all the buildings. just decorating for thomas vale, gotta do the village hotel aswel. might aswel move there at this rate.

gets hard financially goin to the bridge as much as id like but my bro lives down there(arsenal season ticket holder) so gonna go more if i can. Just been working on the big memorial park in cov, very nice place, thouht cov was meant to be a ghost town?

actually think us and man utd are goin after the wrong players. sneijder plays high up mainly centrally playing killer balls thru or genuinely bein a very direct passer if he does drop deeper, utd already have rooney, u can only have one playmaker and dont think sir alex wud want rooney playin as an out n out striker with hernandez there. modric however keeps things ticking but very rarely scores or assits, i wud see him as better fletcher or carrick. we however have essien, ramires, josh (hopefully this season plays more) who does exactly the same as modric but we could do with a sneijder to hit torres with first time balls. We should sign sneijder, Man utd should sign modric and wed both improve. If it stays as it is mcheachran wont get half as much game time and rooney will have a frustrating season.

all over that ambition, actually hated watching chelsea at times last season. Would obviousley like to win league and think we could be good enough but unfair to demand it with avb first season and if were gonna play better and blood sturridge, josh, luiz into first team regs i think the transition needs patience. Woul aqlso be happy with getting rid of anelka, never has a player been such a flat track bully. when chelsea are battering sides he looks our best player, when were up against it he refuses to shoot, dribble and spend more time running back to make needless passes. the slowest quick player ive ever seen. Also wouldnt be heartbroken to see malouda go, great player for us but at times but just has periods thru a season where he cant be arsed.

Forgot to say when i used to go as 14 to bout 21 yr old my seat was matthew harding lower a few rows behind a black lad who used to wear trousers made of chelsea pics etc, proper character and obvious true blue. When ive been in recent years ive sat upper east stand.

hi, new to this but threw a few comments and opinions in on seperate topics. From west mids and job stops me going nowadays so dont get to chat with too many chelsea fans but love to hear and share opinions. read what ive wrote off my profile and feel free to agree or disagree. LEN

i agree, think sometimes we as fans feel everyone has to be a superstar but i believe we just need balance. If we dont sign anyone then i think we might aswel give kakuta some game time and confidence and see if he developes. In our best sides of recent years weve had robben(who was WC) but also duff, swp, joe cole and its always gave us another outlet/option. Man utd are the prime example of giving ppl the stage to improve, ronaldo looked wasteful and a showpony at first, nani stepped in when he left and looked out of his depth now look at him. Ferguson done it to players all over the pitch we give players a few sub appearance a carling cup start then decide there not upto it, so sad IMO. Hope things change under new regime and we get behind these sort of players even if they have bad games.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas
lentherussian replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I hope im proved wrong but i am starting to fear the worst. firstly im prob gonna sound very negative but never liked ancelotti other then his personality which was very dignified throughout. We won the double but im unsure how good we were that seaon over how bad some of the others were. Any team of chelsea or man utd previous 3/4 years would of wrapped that league up by xmas. (slight exxageration). He tinkered nearly as much as ranieri, 4-4-2 diamond with lampard deep, then change with lamps behind, then 4-3-3, then 4-5-1. Playin torres over drogba against l'pool was suicide and it was a big moment in our season. towards the end he had no idea best partneships at back upfront or middle. I personally dont think hes heart was in it. Now on to AVB, i was pleased we got a hungry manager with hopefully fresh ideas. I didnt buy into the inexperienced argument as he has much more experience then guardiola did when he stepped up to barca. Whats worried me slightly is that he looks like hes froze regards signings, now id always thouht that if your a manger you have players in world football that you rate, and when you get a job like cfc you can pretty much go for anyone and he hasnt. I hope im wrong and hes just confident in youth n what we signed during last year and with ramires beginning to look good with luiz and torres like new signings. But i fear hes scared 2 buy big and be judged on it which shows a lack of real confidence on big stage. Im not running him down because i believe all cfc managers deserve our support but i am beginning to worry. A large percentage of chelsea fans me included think we desperatley need a winger, someone to beat a man, we had robben and duff at our best, even swp was tricky but were not acting that way and i can sense teams parking the bus and grinding us down again. Anyway hope im wrong and loving some of the posts on the forum. Come on the chels. -
Id have to get rid of anelka if it was my choice. Really dislike the bloke, got loads of ability but just strolls round in the tough games, got a great knack of looking good but doin nothing sometimes. I know we all live in hope that torres rekindles form but i just dont see it myself, think weve messed up bigtime with that one. Fed up with people sayin we dont use him right, if your a top top player you should still be able to look good elsewhere, he doesnt even look like he can take direction. Sturridge deserves a go, kalou can make a difference off the bench and the drog still has it. Id have to get rid of anelka if it was my choice. i agree with your point and lampard, but not the drog. I think i speak for all cfc fans when i say lampard has been great for us but i think its time to look elsewhere. he just looks a bit too slow nowadays, i know hes never been quick but i think his passings slowing aswel. If AVB wants to play a pressing game in the mould of barca which i think he does, then ppl like klampard are def to slow. I thouht ramires looked awful when he first came but certainly got better and must play if we play this system. essien ramires and mcheacran creating for me.
