Who else does he pick? Virtually everyone of them is currently garbage. I can get down with the the argument of dropping Ivan and so on, but given José's very telling post match interview today I suspect he's trying to keep those who he trusts in the squad.Regardless, people seem all too keen to forget that this is a rare rough patch in the otherwise exceptional career of José Mourinho. He's proved he's capable more often than not, why sack him after a poor spell when history suggests he's likely to recover?

Let's not exagarate, there is absolutely no danger of relegation, despite this run we still have enough individual quality to make sure we end up at least in the top 7 at absolute worse, Liverpool and Spurs were shambolic last season yet finished top 6.I remember before Jose returned I was asked what if he has a similar run to AVB do we sack him? I said at the time no because he has a track record to suggest things will eventually get better whereas AVB didn't and for the foreseeable I firmly stick by that.
We have to tread very carefully, even if we sack Jose and things at the start pick up under a new manager, there will eventually come a time where the honeymoon period wades off and the new man will have the tactical responsibility firmly on his shoulders, if we flake again, were back to square one of the managerial merry go round we were in.
I would rather gamble on Mourinho turning it around than any manager that could come in now if I'm honest,Klopp won't come here and I don't want Ancelotti back, especially not in a time of crisis, that winless run in 10/11 was much worse than even this.

At least Courtois is willing to duke it out with one of the best in the world for that number 1 spot, unlike a certain someone. -

Spot on mate.
Mourinho is leading us through this transition and I think he is exactly the right man for this club. I don't think I'm alone. If people don't think he is then that's fine and they can start a Jose Out petition for all I care. But my view is that we're building something here and it's going to take time. When we're winning stuff it's easy to jump on the bandwagon, but it's also important not to go overboard when things aren't going quite as smoothly.

Munky reacted to Bir_CFC in 🇧🇪 Romelu Lukaku
Should go on loan, he can play a bench role but not good enough to be first choice. He's still pretty raw and would benefit more from another loan spell where he gets to start every game.
A loan with a possession based team. The playing style at West Brom is different than at Chelsea. At WBA, their opponents more often than not play attacking football which gives more space to Lukaku which will never happen at Chelsea as everyone will sit deep against us. And if they sit deep, you marginalize Lukaku's biggest strength, his pace and runs behind the defence. That's why he needs to get accustomed to a possession based team and improve his link up play further and his back to the goal hold-up play. Swansea would be my first and last choice, going back to West Brom offers him nothing.
I'm not saying he isn't good enough for us now, but for his sake he's still developing and he should aim to get as much playing time as possible. If he stays with us, he'll be good, he'll score bunches as an impact sub but how much will he really improve?
