He wasn't spectacular today but you know what? He is a defender and defender's job is to make sure the team doesn't lose and a clean sheet is attained. Job done Ivanovic. Forwards win games, defender's don't lose games.

I don't why people think it was a bad game. Sure no goals were scored but it was tense and nerve wracking throughout the entirety of the match. I was equal parts fearful and hopeful. It won't go down in the history books as an amazing all action match but it sure had me hooked and entertained.

As far as I'm concerned Jose is just resting Mata. He has played a lot of football in the last two seasons and this could just be preventative measures against burnout. No need to run him into the ground this early in the season, he'll have a major part to play when the fixtures start piling up. Besides for tonight's game tactically he is a tad lazy and incompetent in defence and the four kings that played really showed their mettle with their admirable workrate and defending. He could have been the spark to boost the team to victory but as it stands now the team didn't lose at Old Trafford and that for now is something to be somewhat happy with.

Jose seems to know how to get the best out of defenders and it really is showing in Cahill's recent form. Maybe he can beyond the 'average' tag he gets labeled with under Jose's tutelage.

I fell asleep with 20 mins to go but from what I saw Terry absolutely bossed this game at the back. The old dog still has it in him to put in amazing performances.

The 90s had Nirvana, Pavement, Nas and Blur to name a few. But the 90s also had Spin Doctors, Backstreet Boys, Right Said Fred, Vanilla Ice and Aqua. The 80s had The Smiths, R.E.M, The Cure, Pixies, Stone Roses but the 80s also had Flock of Seagulls, Rick Astley, Toni Basil, Europe and Starship.

Could be a good year sporting wise for me. My rugby league team is dominating after years of midtable and bottom table mediocrity and could come out as Minor and Major Premiership holders. Chelsea are also looking quite ace.
