Nothing we have done so far justifies this. We counter better yes, but like I have been saying, we struggle otherwise.

Our movement and passing is better yet our attack is worse than under Rafa last season. And again Mata didn't make Lampard and co have an awful game, but he's the easy target and Mourinho's scapegoat. Mata had bad games towards the end of last season, but we still did well and Hazard and Lamps were scoring.

I'll start with the last line, being on the wings doesn't mean he should contribute nothing for large spells. He played there almost all of last season, got used to it and scored regularly towards the end of the season.The other 2 games, he defended well, but did nothing in attack, that you think he "linked superbly" is ridiculous considering how we only did well on like 2 counter situations in Germany. And against City, our best moments came from Torres forcing things.

Well I personally would like to see someone different start at CAM. Mata looks weird compared to last season, and I don't know what Oscar is doing in attack last 3 games. Willian's acceleration and vision could give us another dimension, but won't happen obviously.

I don't mind him, think he's done alright for the most part, but there are games he shouldn't be starting - yet Mourinho starts him all the time and realizes he made a mistake in the 60th minute.

Play Willian in the middle, with Schurrle and Hazard beside him.

You think Mata just decided by himself he won't go back and get the ball from defence? something he did so many times last season. For a player who has been in and out of the team like he has, he will act strictly on Mourinho's orders. Mourinho wants him to defend, he does. Mourinho wants him on the right 1 minute and middle the other, he does that. Mourinho wants him to stay further up the pitch when Luiz and Terry are knocking it around, he does that.

Actually i think it was stingray who said agenda, my bad. But the point is still valid, you have used Mata as an excuse for Lampard not playing well and others like Torres and Oscar also not doing well. Like i said before the game, Mata deserved to play after doing well against Arsenal, but it's Mourinho's fault for playing Oscar out wide, because in his mind Oscar has the divine right to start and finish every game, regardless of performance. Mata alone in the team didn't result in this performance. The team selection as a whole did, and players who were preferred like Cole, Lampard and Torres were terrible to put it nicely.

Hazard looked very promising at the start running at people and winning fouls. Then for about 30 minutes he did not touch the ball, i honestly don't know what we were doing but Luiz and Terry had the ball every other pass

I did say yesterday our attack hasn't been good all season. We didn't have many chances to counter, Torres didn't dribble anyone - and we did nothing in the whole.

Oscar never comes off no matter what, same with Hazard. It's getting ridiculous. Almost as much as Cole and Lampard playing every game.
