The last thing they provide is "real width" lol. On the subject of width, Spain played Iniesta-Xavi-Silva at the Euros - no width, won the competition. Man city frequently use Nasri-Tevez-Silva behind Aguero - no width, but doesn't mean they are still not a very good side.
There was also a time when Messi kicked the ball at Real Madrid fans, or when he pushed Lampard last season, he's no saint. On Kaka, it's a shame what is happening to him atm, still a player that can contribute to a CL side.
Yeah this is true, like even last season under AVB - Cech passed the ball at the back instead of hoofing it up, but i guess RDM has told him nothing about this.
"Oscar has recovered. He did some light training so should be fine. It was a spectacular debut and we hope to see it more often. We'd seen his quality in training but it was great to see it in a big game against brilliant opposition, we're delighted to have him here." - RDM.
Actually i think they do. The other players are used to one style and that's passing sideways or hoofing it to Drogba, it's the new players that can help change the way we play.
Tbf only Hazard has started consistently out of all the players we bought and we've seen the difference he has made. The rest of the team is made up of 10 players who were already here last season.
Good point, Piazon did fairly well there in preseason so would not mind him getting a chance. It was a pretty bad stamp by Bonucci, and the ref as usual did not punish the Juve player.
Why not? imo we're a CM and CF away from winning the title, but getting a CF alone should see us challenge. Last season we saw what a top striker could do, problem was he only turned up when he felt like it.
I don't really have a problem with how we score, but it is weird how we rarely ever have a player clean through on goal. Some people says it's because Torres doesn't make runs, but i watched one game of Spain recently and he was through 2 times in the first 45 minutes. So it's surely not just him.
He didn't boss anything, but he did as well as you can hope for a young player in this type of game. After watching him frequently for Brazil I knew there was something special about him, just happy to see him do it in a Chelsea shirt - and hopefully for many years to come.
I'm sure there won't be too many changes for this one. RDM knows the importance of three points with 2 of Man city, Arsenal and Man utd likely to lose points. And we also have the League cup a couple days after for players who have not played a lot this season.
It was only normal for him to struggle a bit at the beginning of the game, it was his first start against very good opposition. But as the game went on he improved, before he even scored the first goal there was a nice back heel to someone and that got him going.
He's not way better than Luiz. I watch Real Madrid a lot and Pepe is far superior to Ramos. Ramos makes a lot of rash challenges and gets booked far too many times.
