Yes actually. That's the one thing i have confidence in with him. He has always been known to value defensive organization, plus the fact his Liverpool side never conceded many goals. We on the other hand, have conceded something like 20 in the past 10 games

But what makes you so sure? i thought at the beginning of the season we won't go through this slump, but i've been proved wrong. And nothing in the past few games, especially the way we have been defending, makes me think we could have turned it around soon. Sure, but he did it with the best interests of the team at mind. It sucks because i really liked RDM, even more so when he stopped playing Ramires on the wings, but this is football, results is all that matter. Yeah it is, but that's just my opinion. Maybe they expect more from him like top 3, fa cup and cwc.

Yes he didn't lose as many as AVB, but we certainly were not headed in the right direction. The CL group was tough no doubt, but with our bad form in the league and likely elimination in the CL, things could get very very bad before January.

The funny thing is most of those things now apply to RDM. Under him we won 2 of our last 8 games and with Man city and Fulham coming up, there's every chance of that bad run continuing. We got destroyed in Italy yet again, and lost to West brom yet again. I'm pretty sure he was fired because Roman decided to act quicker this time, and not let things get as bad as they did under AVB - where we fell to 5th and needed to win CL to make the competition this season. If at the end of the season we end up in the top 4 then he would have been justified, whether anyone likes it or not.

If it wasn't for referees AVB would have beaten Fergie twice. AVB told the team before he left they could win the CL, why not let him finish the run he started in both cups?

This should be the last of your concerns. He has been out of a job for 2 years because he hasn't been able to get a top job. He will try everything possible to do well here, even if he has to leave in May - at least someone else will want him.

What question exactly should he have answered better? i thought he handled most of the questions well. The media were basically trying to get him to say something wrong which he avoided.

He had my support from the minute he was announced as manager, but this press conference just shows how much he's looking forward to the challenge, and just wants to win. Which is what we all want.

He's been out of a job for 2 years, when a top club like Chelsea comes calling he would be stupid to turn it down really. This is a chance for him to prove he's still a good manager, and also do it with a good squad - as long as they don't pathetically stop playing for him. And you are right we faced a tough schedule, but RDM would probably still have a job if he got those winnable games (WBA, Swansea and Liverpool) in addition to the win against Shakhtar.

I'm only pointing out those games because they have all been more recent, we have played those teams in the past 6 outings. A chance to get back to winning ways and we fucked up. To your question: I know the board won't accept it, but i was talking about the fans.

As if there wasn't massive pressure on Chelsea managers before, now he will have to come in and win straight away. And he surely can't afford the 1 win in 6 shit RDM did because instead of "We're in transition" "Believe" "RDM isn't doing anything wrong" it will be "Fuck off Benitez, you have ruined our team"

Well said, unlike some people i actually want Chelsea to be in the CL next season so once again best luck to the man. What he said or did during his time at Liverpool is the past, move on.
