  1. LOL i swear i never saw this. If i did, i never would have criticized him after seeing the Hazard quotes, now i feel bad
  2. We can't freaking wait till deadline day, that's 31 more days of Torres starting every game.
  3. I didn't say he was moaning though (on this occasion) - the question was how people "know so much about him and his preferred starting spot" - and i answered because i have heard him say it, 4,5,6, different times. And Hazard is different from Sturridge, he said he's wanted to play as a '10 since he was a kid, but he'll play anywhere if it means starting.
  4. Vast majority of them actually. I did not make the point before the search. I first heard him talk about it on an interview with Talksport, then he's said it a couple times again after that (i also remember a post game interview where he said he wants to play as CF), and there's also the more recent one on how he can score 20 as centre forward.
  5. Every other striker we have been linked too, even old man Villa
  6. It's funny because there are better options than him, whether as back up or whatever. Only reason we could ever sign him would be because of homegrown rule like Turnbull, nothing else.
  7. I'm sure i have seen it on 4 or more different occasions. I just typed in: "Danny Sturridge wants to play as centre forward" on Google, so many results with so many different dates.
  8. Bent, lmao. I actually would not have minded that a couple years ago, but a player that can't even start for Villa? please.
  9. Reason I asked this is because a lot of people say Walcott is average (including myself - although I admit he's improved recently) and I don't see Sturridge as better than him.
  10. Random but does anyone think Sturridge is better than Walcott? I'm not sure.
  11. Atletico spent big money on Falcao when they could have gone for a cheaper, shittier option to replace Aguero, he took a few months to settle down and has turned out great for them. Signing him or Cavani is a risk for any team, but there's every chance you will get good value for your money.
  12. Let's not forget he also performed as worse as anyone in the second half of the season
  13. The fact he didn't play a single minute in EL, makes me think they will sell in January.
  14. The times are pretty reliable i think, so it's as good as done. 12m not bad for a player in the final year of his contract.
  15. Someone from Atletico will soon come out and put to rest all the rumours, it always happens.
  16. Torres was average, actually very bad before we signed him, but people said it's because he wasn't happy and would be better at Chelsea, well that didn't work out. Falcao on the other hand is in the form of his life and has been for what? 3 seasons now? chances of him scoring more than Torres is huggge.
  17. This is going to be very difficult. We also need to rest some players and start a couple bench warmers, i'd take a smash and grab win right now.
  18. Anyone know where to find any stats done on chance conversion rate? and how Falcao ranks in comparison to other 'elite' strikers in the top European leagues. I know Suarez will be way down the list, since he misses 8 chances before scoring one goal Anyway given the shoddy production we have been getting from our strikers over the past 3 seasons* i just hope whoever we get; Falcao or whoever can deliver. Enough with the torture, we need a striker that can carry this team. This team that is able to create 5 chances a game and still find a way to not score. * I know someone is going to mention Drogba last season, but he only did it in the big games, which is great really - but he had like 6 goals total in the premier league, which is just awful. The season before that he had malaria and went cold after a good start.
  19. I believe this is wrong. Man utd received like 18m less than we did last season for getting knocked out in the groups.
  20. Of course we can. It will just make it harder to post a profit next season, but selling Torres/Sturridge and also a high earner like Lamps/Cole leaving could help. And also, if the club are not confident of meeting FFP, i'm sure they will not sign him.
  21. Hope he's fit to start against Leeds, it is really pathetic how Torres has to start every single game.
  22. The picture with Pique is very weird lol.
